Make-up Review : Tonymoly Cristal Blusher in No.5

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Another reviews for you girls, I found the mood to write up a review for all you ladies. As some of you might have noticed in Instagram, my makeup has been consistently on a barely there but there makeup i.e. less smokey eyeshadows, thin eyelining and neutral lip colors.

I was on a lookout for a skintone eyeshadow shade, I've been surveying and actually asked a few Bruneian bloggers of their favorite skintone shade, I seriously thank them for their cooperation and though I love what they have recommended, I might just buy them soon enough when I have enough money to buy makeup. I actually found this blusher that I just fall in love with, AT FIRST SIGHT!

I think, it's technically a bronzer of some sort, the SA informed me that this is a blush but it is so sheer to be a blush, I mean, I don't think it would show up on me, do they? LOL! I really love this shadow, it may be a bit lighter than my skintone, but it matches perfectly for an everyday neutral barely-there look.

The texture is quite buttery, I always use my ring finger to apply this and it is very smooth and not chalky at all. I would say the color is matte, but it has micro-shimmer in it, it is so micro that I don't think people could actually see it, it would've made a nice subtle highlighter underneath your browbone and your inner corner but as a highlighter above your blusher, I don't think so. I tried to put it on my cheeks, it's hardly noticeable.

As an everyday wash-over your lid colour, this is amazing, it doesn't crease and very long-lasting, it's on more of the expensive side, but since I'll be using this every single time I apply eyeshadow, I think it's worth it since it has a large amount of product.

Beauty Bought : The Second in April

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

This is my second haul. Although I have to admit, at least it still is moderate shopping. But don't worry, I'm going to make a haul post soon on what I bought in May and also a major haul that I ordered from UK. So I definitely have a lot of reviews to make that could fill up my whole remaining 2013. LOL.

This is what I bought from Winmark, which is a very exclusive drugstore. There are times that things from Winmark are exclusive there meaning it's not available at any other stores. But I never really bought anything there unless it's something I really want.

I bought an Eskinol Papaya Toner, which comes with full recommendation from a fellow blogger, Nisah. Though I have to admit, I'm still not sure of whether I like this toner or not. Then I bought a deodarant that I really liked so far though when this one is finished, I'll try something new.

Enchanteur is most probably a brand I really like the smells of, they have this flowery and powdery scent that seems to remind me about sleeping, lol

Going to my favorite store, which is the Paloma, I went in and actually bought a lot of stuff there, but there's only four of them that are for me to try out and my first lip product from Essence! I think I will purchase more of these Essence lipstick because I definitely love them.

Then, a haul I made at the Airport Mall, I was very drawn in by Tonymoly's blush, though I don't think it does show up on my cheeks so well but as an everyday wash of color on my lids, it definitely is my holy grail.

Also picked up the Clariderm's Astringent, this time with lesser intensity so I don't have to deal with the peeling too much. Hope you like my haul!

There's actually another haul post up.

Product Empties : March 2013

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Looking at the picture below, it’s a lot of make-up to throw away. All items are expired or used up or just doesn’t work for me anymore. I was having a clear-out on my make-up and I did not realize that I have so many make-ups that I should’ve thrown out a long time ago. I did change up how I store my make-up and such. It’s more spacey now that I’ve rearranged it.

1.       Essence All Eyes On Me Mascara – This is a nice purple mascara that is not waterproof, it does a nice job of creating volume for my lashes but unfortunately, it has dried out already, I’ve purchased a new mascara already from Essence, but I haven’t touch that yet and won’t touch it until all my mascaras are used up.

2.       Sariayu Foundation and Silkygirl’s Lightening Foundation -  The Sariayu foundation, it’s very easy to finish it as it does a great job of blending and brighten my face easily for everyday or everytime I go out for errands and such. Not something I’d repurchase hurrily. The Silkygirl’s Foundation, I’ve given up on it, it doesn’t make a very good impression of the hundred times I use it. The smell, the longevity, yuck!

3.       Tonymoly’s Milky Lip Tint – A big favourite of mine, I’ve been using it a lot and I’ve finally come to terms that both have already run out :’( I won’t be repurchasing this anytime soon, I have lots more lip tints to finish up!

4.       Silkygirl’s Long-wearing Eyeliner, Funky Eyeliner and Glitter Liner – I don’t know why I never can get on with their eyeliners very well, although their liquid pen liner is the best one so far amongst their eyeliners. I’ve never tried out the funky eyeliner out because they have this stinky smell that I kept putting off on throwing out, the glitter liner was I think an old stock, and the texture isn’t something I’d like to try. The Long-wearing Crayon Eyeliner smudges like crazy and doesn’t even have a great pigmentation!

5.       Safi Balqis Lipstick and Etude House Roll Roll Lipgloss – The Balqis lipstick is a favourite of mine as it is a MLBB shade but unfortunately, it was being discontinued from a long time ago, so I’m so sad to see this one go. The Etude House Lipgloss, the colour is nude, I love to pair it with a red lip tint to make it a little coral-ish but then I’ve actually saw the product has separated and the smell was bad and it’s time to throw it away.

6.       L’Action Dark Circle Corrector and Essence’s Pure Skin Spot Treatment – The only skincares I’m throwing out, I actually have finished up a lot of skincare products but I couldn’t be bother to actually bring it back to my room from the toilet just so I could take pictures with it. The L’Action was A WASTE OF MONEY, it doesn’t work, the gel doesn’t even do anything and the concealer that came with it dries up before I could even test it out. The Essence’s Spot Treatment is one of the few duds I’ve come across from Essence, it dries out too, which is understandable because it has some sort of alcohol in it.
What’s the one product that you kept on using up and repurchase all the time?

Skincare Review : Tony Moly Facial Masks

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So I'm going to post something that I haven't done, I hardly ever review my masks but I always collect them and show you in a few hauls before. I bought different masks from different brands, most are Koreans brands. So here I am, talking about Tonymoly's Masks.

They have different types of masks, Essential Mask Sheets, Natural Pulp Essence Sheet or Cottony Essence Sheet Masks. I don't have any pictures of their sheets only their packages. So as you can see from pictures above I bought their Essential Mask Sheets, I haven't tried out the Cucumber yet, but the rest I did, so what I can say is that they have different essence (duhh) so one that I dislike so much is the Strawberry, it's too bad cuz I love the smell, it's smells like real strawberries instead of those fake artificial strawberries you smelled from foodies. Why? Because in the end, the essence is so sticky, almost as if you've layered on glucose solution on your face.

However, what I like about these sheets are that they are very cooling and relaxing, the sheets are pretty much normal thin and they spread out to fit my face perfectly. I think my favorite will be the Green Tea. But if I'm not mistaken, I did buy a lot more than these, but I'm not sure, this is one of my stock photos that has been lying around in my laptop.

I only bought one of these because this is the last one in stock! BUT I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS! I would definitely repurchase this! It tightens up my pores,it gives me a smoother texture on my skin and it also lightens up your skin a little! All in One! Also, the mask sheet is thin, allowing more essence to be absorbed into your skin. So Tonymoly, please stock these up so I can have my mask sprees! :D

I've tried all of the Cottony Essence Mask Sheets except for the Wine Essence. I seriously love these too, only drawbacks are that they are a little bit thick and big for my face, but all in all, they only give you those cooling and relaxing effects, but also, it leaves you with a much cleaner and smoother face, given that you've actually washed your face beforehand. My favorite would be the Milk Essence and the Red Ginseng Essence, both have wonderful scents to it without being overpowering!

Repurchase? Yes, I would only repurchase Cottony Essence Mask Sheets and  the Natural Pulp Essence Sheet.

Skincare Routine : Dry Condition

Assalamualaikum, pretty ladies!

Although this condition is very rare for me, since I have a normal-oily skin, but it does happen every once in a blue moon, so I've come prepared! MUAHAHA. As a reminder, I live in an equatorial climate, so my skincare routine might not be as extensive as when in different climate.

So the products that I'm using is down below.

Firstly, I wash my face with Follow Me's Oil Control with Anti-Shine formula [Review will come!], just to cleanse my face. I try my best to avoid exfoliation at this condition. As it is during the day, I would definitely wear make-up to school, just because I'm already used to wearing it for my self-esteem.  So I would need a good moisturizer to set.

I usually use Hada Labo's Whitening Lotion with Arbutin, some might think lotion would be very heavy for a day skincare routine, but Japanese lotions are basically just toners. It's very light for morning usage. 3 drops from the lotion is enough for the whole face, but since I having a dry week, I took 5 drops.

Else, if I think my Hada Labo lotion is insufficient, I would just use Johnson & Johnson's Baby Lotion, only because it has a very gentle formula and it doesn't feel thick and it's a very good moisturizer. Another reason is that, you don't need to find expensive moisturizing products where you can actually find other products that are readily available at home that works just the same.

So anyways, after all that, I'd start with my make-up so as you've seen from my make-up collection, I have every foundation/BB cream that is catered to every skin situation that I may encounter. So in this case, I would definitely use my Moisture Petit BB Cream from Holika Holika and I have to tell you that this BB Cream is not suitable for oily skin, because it will definitely make you look like you have slathered a big amount of oil onto your face. LOL!

So at night, I usually remove my makeup with the normal makeup remover and then set my face again with Hada Labo's moisturizer and if there's ever any dry patch, I would definitely use the Tonymoly's Healing Balm because it works wonders on your skin!

FOTD : It's 2AM in the morning and I just can't sleep

 Assalamualaikum,

Oh yes, I'm that bored :p

What I had in mind was, a look that I could pull off on any wedding functions, with purple eyeshadow. I never pulled off a purple look, maybe because my blending skills was good enough at that time.

Rapid Intense Look LOL LOL LOL! :p

So these are the palettes that I used for the look.

Silkygirl's Blockbuster Palette in Violet Crush, Silkygirl's My Eye Girl Palette in Inspiring, Silkygirl's Duo Eyeshadow in Blue Heaven, The Faceshop's Color-Full Lip Palette in 02 and Etude House's Highlight Powder.

I just basically used the purple[outer-v] and the golden pink[as base and browbone highlight] in My Eye's Palette, purple[lid wash] in the Blue Heaven's eyeshadow, the greyish purple[crease] in Blockbuster Palette.

Also, I'm using the Tonymoly Milky Pink Lip Tint as a base and used the Matte Rose Brown lip color.

Make-up Review : Tony Moly Lip Tints

Assalamualaikum,

For today's review, I'm going to focus on lip tints. Lip tints are basically tints that stains your lips, it's that obvious. I've bought the two Tonymoly's Milky Tint in Pink and Peach for around B$25 30% discount inclusive. And the small Tonymoly Red Cherry Tint is just basically a sample the SA given to be over a few months ago.

Skincare Review : Tony Moly Dr. Tony Poreclear Tightening Pore

Assalamualaikum,

Another on-impulse purchase, but nevertheless, I've come to liked it although it never have been on top of my skincare routine because I have other routine that needs to be done as much as possible, so I'd be neglecting this product every now and then.

More information about this product through here:
http://sweetestsins.blogspot.com

So anyways, however, I get a very mixed feelings about this product, it's true to its claim of the fact that it tighten pores, but since I didn't use this regularly due to my frequent acne breakouts (either allergic to products or having my hormones upside-down) the effect is much less visible unlike before when I used this product regularly.

It somehow smells weird, almost like a minty foot lotion? I don't know, hehehe. But anyways, upon applying it, you would have this cool sensation, which is good in my book. Then after several minutes, there's another warm sensation, by then, which is weird, cuz if it was warm then cold, I'd know it would be pore-tightening. But this here, though doesn't give the dramatic effect of pore tightening, it also has moisturizing properties and I woke up with a hydrated face.

So, technically this product is a hit or miss, you might like it or hate it. I like this product, but that's just about it, I don't really need this product because of my current skin condition, but so far, this product haven't let me down. I definitely won't be repurchasing this product, so I'll give it a 3.4/5 marks

Random Ranting : Collective Haul for month of December and January

Assalamualaikum,

Oh well, at least it doesn't do any much damage to my wallet, since I bought these in a period of two months. But nevertheless, this is still shopping. =='

I finally bought My Beauty Diary Masks! Yeay me! Hee :D

Here's the lippies, I bought Avon's Onyx Luster Tri-Lip Gloss in Peach Sparkle, Tony Moly's Milky Lip Tint in Milky Pink and Milky Peach, Silkygirl's Gloss Lipstick. Lip Ice Grape Lipbalm and The Faceshop's Color-Full Lip Palette #02.

Here's the swatches, I will do reviews on all the Tony Moly's Lip Tint.
And I'm very disappointed with Avon's lipgloss, cuz there's hardly any pigmentation, cuz I like the three layers, there should be AT LEAST real pigmentation instead of just the usual shimmery gloss, but I have to admit, I love the formula for not being to sticky.

For the Silkygirl's Gloss lipstick which is in #06 Honey Brown, it goes on very well, although it is almost the same shade as my Moisture Rich Lipstick in 04 Illusion, so I kinda feel that it's such a waste, I'm not a big fan of buying a lot lipsticks with the same shade, no matter if it's a different brand or a different range.

Here's the TFS's lip palette, clockwise from the upper left, the colors are Rose Brown, Shimmer Orange, Caramel Brown and Coral Bronze. Shimmer Orange and Coral Bronze being the glossy part, while the other two is matte, I love the colors for it's au naturale look. But somehow, I feel disappointed that upon applying it easily bleeds to your chin.

Eye Make-up

Again, Silkygirl's make-up, I bought these Funky Eyelights Pencil as a Buy 1 Free 1, I bought it in 04 Pure Purple and 02 Ocean Blue. These babies are creamy, it glides and the color pay-off is good, I use this to line this above my usual liner if I were to be very lazy to wear eyeshadows, so this is my back-up plans BUT they have that funky pencil-y smell on them and it doesn't smell so good.

Also, I bought Tonymoly's Crystal Stick Eyeshadow in a pearly-white color. I always use this to highlight my inner corner and I actually use this to line my waterline, though proved useless because it's not waterproof.

Here's a Revlon Custom Eyes eyeshadow palette in Smoky Sexy. Love the color pay-off and it's blending-friendly.

It's one of the BB Cream from Holika Holika's Petit BB Range in Moisture and I bought it from my friend who owns this, because her and the BB Cream have a little misunderstanding. Review will come!

Beauty Diary Masks! YEAAYY!!! I bought the Black Pearl with free Bird's Nest Mask, also, my friend gave me a White Pearl Mask

Skincare Review : Tony Moly Dr.Tony Sensitve Multi Healing Balm

Assalamualaikum,

I've bought this product out of impulse, not even knowing what it actually does specifically! Well, me and my shopaholic instinct! But yet, somehow, I never really have those moments where you buy things on impulse then started to hate it when using it. Lucky me, actually.

Random Ranting: It's a new layout

Assalamualaikum,

How do you like the new layout? I think you can pretty much guess that I like purple, so much! LOL. So I would be having a review coming up. Even for my favorite sinful product, Aloe Care from Amway!

So anyways, there's actually tons of review that I should make, so here's the list or product I should review.

1. Etude House Happy Teatime Milk Tea Cleansing Cream
2. Holika Holika Daily Garden Olive Cleansing Cream
3. Tonymoly's Dr Tony PoreClear Tightening Sleeping Pack
4. Formula 10.0.6 Keep Me Clean Clarifying Facial Wipes
5. Silkygirl's Lash Prism Waterproof Mascara in 01 Blackest Black
6. T3 Pimple Gel

Random Ranting : Birthday Wishlist

Assalamualaikum,

So I know my birthday is weeks away, but hey, I seriously love having birthday wishes, though it's a big chance that I might not have it but a girl can dream about it. I might have to save up money to buy some of these.

1. An iPad/iPad 2

After seeing my seniors' final year presentation, it seems to be one of the most common contributor of making mobile/tablet apps apart from Android. This gadget might help my hang-up of having to lug around my laptop with me almost everywhere I go. Also, I was thinking of getting an iPod Touch, okay I know iPhone is a better substitute to iPod Touch, but I'm not interested in using a daily communication necessity with a touchscreen phone. Oh yeah, I still have a keypad phone. How lame, but very practical. But to consider and compare between an iPod Touch and iPad, iPad will be a winner. Though I'm not sure which one is better, iPad or iPad2.
iPad

2. Betty Jackson.Black Cream Mini Grab Bag

If I were to buy a bag, I would certainly purchase a black or a dark brown. I guess, I'm more to practical fashion instead of just being a girl and buy anything pretty. Okay fine, this bag is basically practical, suits with any occasions and outfits, but this is just one nice piece that I would love to splurge on.

3. Sigma's Make Me Crazy Purple 12-Brush Set

A friend of mine introduced me this fine product and the first time I look at it, it was love at first sight! It doesn't help with the fact that it's out of my price range, but no worries, this set will be mine!

Sigma's Make Me Crazy Purple Brush Set
Don't you just love those beautiful brushes? It's purple and it's a very high-end brand which equals to high quality! I wish this belongs to me soon!

If all else fail, the Pink set can be the next best thing to the almighty great Purple set.

4. Sigma's Miss Taylor Kabuki Brush

Yes, a Kabuki brush, I can easily afford this but to avoid any hassles of having to buy two things separately, I decided to wait for my budget until I can afford this and the 12-Brush Set, then it will be wonderfuuuuulll~

5. Tonymoly's Fresh Aqua Tear Drop Gel Cream

I've actually tried out the sample product for this and I seriously love it, though I won't use this very often because, I would just apply this only after my exfoliation routine.
Tonymoly's Fresh Aqua Tear Drop Gel Cream

6. Tonymoly's Ice Queen Multi Play Cream

This is not going to be a wish that meant to be true, because this product has been cut from production, which is such a waste really, because I've heard of this product's review and most of them gave a thumbs-up or two. A Multi-Play Cream is a moisturizer, sunscreen and a primer in one big container, which is a nice little concoction.

Tonymoly's Ice Queen Multi Play Cream

7. Skin79 Super Triple Function Hot Pink BB Cream

Who doesn't know the famous Hot Pink BB Cream? With its famous reputation of giving people chances to highlight their beauty and giving side benefits while wearing them, only people that can't cooperate with this product wouldn't dream of buying this little prize.

Skin79's Super Triple Function BB Cream

8. Apple MacBook

I think I'll be able to afford this only after I work, LOL!

Apple's MacBook

9. Tonymoly's Peach Anti-Aging Hand Cream
It smells very nice, so why not?

9. Radley's Purple Helena Stitch Shoulder Handbag
It's purple! There's not much to say! :p
