Beauty Bought : Giveaway Winning from Sprinklerain!

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I was pretty much surprised with the mail I've received from Ka Sheila of Sprinklerain because I didn't really expect Ka Sheila to put it in DHL Express Mail. I was actually expecting a few mails but I was expecting them to be in small packets because I'm still expecting my laptop accessories.

I really love the wrapping paper for the packaging, it was too cute to actually rip it off, but then I have too, I was too hyper-ed when I saw the name of the sender on the packaging.

Sorry about that I had to cover my name and address for security reason, of course. Hee. I was happy enough that I thought I just received a makeup bag, makeup remover wipes and the Bioderma Water. Then when I opened the makeup bag, I didn't expect to have more makeup in it!

I also love the card that Ka Sheila gave me, I really love the ink pen, I'd love to look for that pinky glitter pen, it reminds me of my childhood, lol.

What I received:

1. 17 Oil-Blotting Paper
2. 17 BB Magic Cream in Translucent
3. 17 Vava Voom Waterproof Volume Mascara
4. 17 Super Fine Foundation Powder in Light Beige
5. 17 Trio Eyeshadow in Black Slate
6. 17 Blusher in Pinky Rose
7. 17 Colour Shine Lipgloss in Pink Fruity
8. Watson's Luscious Cheek & Lip in Pink Cherry
9. 17 Makeup Remover Wipes
10. Bioderma Sensibio H20 Solution Micellaire

I can't believe I receive so much, thanks Ka Sheila, it was very generous of you! As you can see, it's all about Boot's own cosmetic brand, which is 17.

I've been loving all of the products you gave me, especially the mascara and the cheek & lip tint. I loved the combination of the bb cream and foundation, I'll set up reviews on the stuffs I received, I still haven't tried the Makeup Remover Wipes and Bioderma.

Skincare Review : Essence Oil-free Eye & Lip Makeup Remover

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I think I'm a little bored of saying how cheap and how good Essence really are, because they really are good and affordable. I did buy the Eye & Lips Make-up Remover in the waterproof version but then I found out that it is oil-based remover which is not to my liking, so I decided to come back to Paloma and bought the oil-free version.

It's not an alcohol-based remover as it doesn't really have any drying effect or stinging effect when applied to remove my eye make-up. So which is good for me because if it's alcohol-based might be a little too drying for me and the oil-based remover is a little too moisturizing and it actually clogs my pores around my eye area and giving me breakouts.

So I've made a swatch of eyeliners, eyeshadows, lipstain and BB Cream, just to show you how the remover works. At first swipe, it doesn't remove a lot of products but it does remove most of it. It takes a few more swipes to remove the products completely but as you can see it doesn't take a long time for the makeups to be completely removed.

I just love the fact that it is not irritating to use and very gentle but however I would love for it to be able to take care of the whole face as it's not a heavy-duty remover so I'd like to try the next best thing. Repurchasing this is not something I'd do but it's a nice product for me to have and use.

Skincare Review : Holika Holika Magic Salt Deep Cleansing Tissue

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So, I've never really tried other make-up removal wipes other than Holika Holika, Purederm and Formula 10.0.6, although I think I prefer Holika Holika's cleansing wipes as it always contains a lot of sheets. As for this cleansing wipes, there is actually no indications of how much sheets is in that one package, might be just a little over 100? Cuz it's too thick for it to be less than 80 and it does actually takes me about 2-3 months to finish up that one pack.

My first cleansing wipes was also from Holika Holika which is of Kiwi, I love that wipes but I just don't love the way it feels way too heavy for me after removing my make-ups, so I have to actually double cleanse after a busy night, which is not what I want in a make-up removal wipes, so I've decided to check this out.

The wipe is very thin and not very long, but don't let it fool you, I don't know about you girls, but I always just use one wipe to cover the whole face.

So here is testing out the wipes, I've put on eyeshadows, BB Cream, Lip Tint on my hands, let it set for a while. Then I wipe then off in one quick sweep.

Amazing isn't it? There's still some leftovers, but it managed to wipe off most of the make-ups I've applied on, though it will take a while to actually remove waterproof mascara but it is still doable. I've repurchased the wipes, it shows that I'm showing these a lot of loves.

Hopefully you find this review useful, what are your favorite make-up removal wipes?

Skincare Review : Skin Woman Quti1 Ice Cream Soap

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

This is an intriguing product as I'm not sure which one is the name of the brand, whether it is Quti1 or Skin Woman, that's why I put both names up and I can hardly find any reviews about this soap. Its actually made in Korea, though I found their website and let's face it, I can't read Korean so I won't really be able to find out more about this cleanser.

It claims to be of an Ice Cream Soap, but looks more like an Ice Sherbet to me, because it doesn't have the same consistency of an Ice Cream and there were 3 flavors for this soap : Aloe Vera (Green), Lemon (Yellow) and Strawberry (Pink). Obviously I chose the lemon soap and I kinda love the smell of it, it smells like freshly-juiced lemon, there's none of those artificial lemon scent that is usually used in skin products, this seriously smells like lemon.

It also have a spatula, a big plus for hygienic point of view. This soap claims to be alcohol free, petrochemical free and it is not tested on animals. So far so good.

You see the amount that I've scooped out? It is for the WHOLE entire face! Awesome right? I can see that I'll be using this for a very long time. Okay okay, here's the review:

This product is actually a make-up cleanser to remove your face and eye make-up without leaving any oil residue as it actually removes makeup and cleanses your face at the same time. It has some sort of a whipped consistency and I don't know how to explain this but it has a hard texture but when you're going to lather it on to your face it suddenly melts and becomes soapy.

It really removes your makeup, even your waterproof mascara and liner, it removes all of it. When you wash it off with water, the soap is removed easily leaving your face smooth and very much clean. Of all the make-up removal creams that I bought, they usually leave an oily film that I had to double cleanse.

This is a great replacement for all of my make-up removal cleanser and with the cheap price tag of less than $10? It's really worth it and lasts a long time.

Skincare Routine : It's not all about cleansers, lotions and toners!

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So now that the exams are behind me and there's like 3 months of a semester break? A happy girl I am now! BUT then, since I won't be having school for 3 months, I might have less shopping time for me since I feel like wanting to stay at home and just spend the days in. I do feel a little guilty for my mom cuz I haven't been doing my part of the house chores.

But anyways, throughout the busy days I've gone through, I mean, I spend more than 12 hours at school just to finish up my assignments and revision and mind you, I come during the weekends also for more than 12 hours too. Although with my busy and hectic schedule, I do still wear makeup and not wearing any is not an option, at least wear my foundation, eyeliner and a little lip tint, then I'm off.

On exams, I wanted to wear a full make-up so I would feel confident in answering my papers. With that, I haven't had the time to deep-cleanse my make-up brushes and they are very dirty with more that 3 weeks of not washing it.

Want to know what I do to salvage and keep the brushes clean? This is where make-up remover wipes are coming in handy. Not only you'd use it when you don't have the energy to wash off your face properly. I actually used these wipes to clean out my brushes, it might deep cleanse them, but it helps to keep it clean enough :D

What I do, lay out one of these wipes or just lay it out on your hand.

And I just swipe the brushes away on the wipes. THAT'S IT :D

Wipe and wipe and wipe, See the make-up residues? I actually needed 2 wipes to keep my humble collection of make-up brushes.

At least now I have the time to deep-cleanse my makeup brushes! Wee, so this is actually a great tip for when you have dirty brushes and you just can't seem to find the time to deep-cleanse it :D

Product Empties : March

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I seem to be on a roll now that I've finished up five products, well, technically 3, as the other two are expired and I don't have the guts to wear them out anymore because it's very unhygienic.

1. Shurah Beauty Cream

To tell you the truth, I don't know what this is for, because I usually apply this all over my face to give me a bright glow, almost like a foundation. And this cream is very hard to blend, unless you use a brush for this. However, this is actually nice for when you don't want heavy make-up and use this as a highlighter or a concealer for your dark circles. I've bought this in 2009, so pretty much in the bins for me.

2. Holika Holika Daily Garden Olive Cleansing Cream

I've reviewed this before and I like to double cleanse after using this because it leaves an oily film on your face. And, I might or might not be repurchasing this, but the container of the creams are definitely useful for other uses, and I've put all of my sponge applicaters, small brushes that comes from palettes and such to put it into the containers to avoid big hassles of having the scattered around my dresser.

3. ELF Liquid Eyeliner

I've bought this a long time ago, it was about $7.90? I can't remember, and this is actually my first liquid liner, I dislike this liner because of the fact that it has an ugly smell in it and the brush applicator isn't precise, though the color is great, it is not good enough for me because it can easily be rubbed off and not waterproof, of to the bin it goes.

4. Hot Pink Super BB Cream Sample-Size 8g

I bought the sample at first, before I get on a splurge to buy it full-sized to check whether it'll be suitable for my skintype or not and I've already made a review on this.

5. Lip Ice lipbalm in Tangerine SPF20

It's a very nice lipbalm with a hint of menthol, with added UV protection, it has been a very great lipbalm for me, I've actually gone through about 6-7 of these for years already. Though I might be a converted user of Maybelline's Baby Lip Balm.

Make-up Review : Holika Holika Daily Garden Olive Cleansing Cream & Etude House Happy Teatime Milk Tea Cleansing Cream

Assalamualaikum,

I think I'm going to make two reviews of the 2 make-up remover cream that I bought. It's like killing two birds with one stone thing, hehehe.

Random Ranting : Just the normal haul for me :p

Assalamualaikum,

Here's another haul and the mask from Jasaengsu are basically a repurchase except for Jasaengsu's Hi Collagen Essence Mask in Sealaver.

Jasaengsu's Hi Collagen Essence Mask in Caviar, Pine Mushroom and Sealaver
I regret buying this, because I just realized that I have dark circles and eyebags to take care of and I certainly don't have any wrinkles, yet. LOL, so I'm giving it to my love, hehehe.
Purederm's Anti-wrinkle gel patches
I bought this from a friend of mine, she had a severe reaction to the facial wipe, I swear her cheeks were so red hot that it could cook an egg, half-boiled, LOL! So I'm going to give this facial wipe a review.
Formula 10.0.6 Keep Me Clean Clarifying Facial Wipes
This is from Etude House, I bought their Make-up Removal Cream alongside from my Holika Holika Haul, the Daily Garden Olive Cleansing Cream. I can't believe that I bought 2 make-up remover in one go =='
Etude House Happy Teatime Milk Tea Make-up Removal Cream

This is my purchase from TONYMOLY, as you can see, most products from Tonymoly are given good reviews, so I decided to buy the pore tightening sleeping pack. A review on this product will be posted.

TONYMOLY's Dr. Tony Poreclear Tightening Sleeping Pack
There's another reason why I like having to buy something at Tonymoly, because they always are generous in giving me free samples, I was asking about the Tonymoly's Floria line to the Sales Assistant but didn't make a purchase for the Floria's product, so the SA is thoughtful in giving me the sample of the line I've inquired.

TONYMOLY's Whitening Cream and Emulsion Sample
Again, I'm taking advantage on the Buy One Free One offer, I bought these two lipstick, which I find so awesome because they are moisturizing enough without having to use lip balm.

Random Ranting : Paloma with new Concept Store

Paloma opened its new concept store on the 11th November, last Friday at the Mall Gadong, 1st Floor. I didn't go during its opening, but yesterday afternoon, went to see for myself. Seeing its new concept store makes me a greater fan even more, since I'm a regular customer there when it was at the 3rd floor, though I usually go there to replenish my Jasaengsu Face Masks supplies.

So, this new concept store is just so tempting. There's actually a lot more products from a lot of brands, this is definitely a win-win situation. There's just tons of face masks there and I'm interested in buying their Ice Cream Make-up Removal Cream in Aloe Vera and Strawberry, can't remember the other flavor though.

Also, there were BB creams from Magic Science, haven't heard of the brand but with the power of Google, some said it was good enough, so I might be trying it out with the VIP Card, I might be able to get a discount on it. I kid you not, there tons of BB Creams and I'm interested in the Black Pump BB Cream, not sure what's the exact name for it.

I actually see a lot of new brands, there's tons of promotion in the concept store. If I were to have a big budget, I would spent my money there buying a lot of there face masks. LOL! Seriously though, can't wait to go there again

EDIT: The actual brand for those BB Creams are not Magic Science, it's actually The Skin Shop.

Make-up Review : Silky Girl, The Faceshop, Holika Holika

Assalamualaikum,

Today, I'm gonna write up an All-in-One Review for the selected brands above and I'm sorry that I've been MIA for the last couple of weeks. I've been very busy with Eid and also with my internship. We are basically given task to design a lab also make a report about network connectivity. Anyways, recently I have enough budget to actually buy make-up products. So what I'm going to do here, is just basically a short review in each product as I don't really intend on making it long cuz I need to ZzzzZzzz.

Okay, this is the products that I've bought over the month, Alhamdulillah, I had extra budget to spend some, after I had all my necessities bought.

Left to Right : Silky Girl's Lightening Liquid Foundation, The Faceshop's  Face It Radiance Concealer Dual Veil, Holika Holika's Silky Veil Primer, Silky Girl's Hydra Clean Makeup Remover, Silky Girl's Silky White 2-Way Foundation and Silky Girl's Blockbuster Color Palette
 1. Silky Girl's Blockbuster Palette.

This is the eyeshadow palette, the pallete is of natural colours and that's what I like most, I never really like to wear bright colours unless it's for special occasion, but then, I usually use this pallete before I even where the bright colors to actually blend in the colors so that it won't be too flashy.

Score: 9.87/10

2. Silky Girl's Silky White Lightening Liquid Foundation (04 Tan)

I've been using this product for years so I must say that this is a satisfaction for me in terms of consistency, it doesn't really stays up on my nose, because my nose is very oily, kept secreting oil that by an hour, my nose will be so shiny that there's hardly any make-up left. But however, it is good in blending any of my skin's flaw.

Score : 7.89/10

3. The Faceshop's Face It Radiance Concealer Dual Veil ( Natural )

This is a 2-in-1 concealer, it has the cream stick and also the liquid stuff, I usually use the cream stick for all my acne star and the liquid for my dark circles. To my preference, when cream stick is used for dark circles, it won't really blend well onto my skin, that's where the liquid concealer comes in handy and it does help brightens up the dark circle which is very awesome

Score : 8.45/10

4. Silky Girl's Hydra Clean Makeup Remover

This one, I absolutely love, it actually works like a facial cleanser but only better! It effectively removes any leftover makeup and it leaves the face (after you cleanse it) felling very smooth and supple unlike when you wash your hand with soap. It contains Vitamin E and Aloe Vera which is a plus because Aloe Vera is very good for the skin, in fact, I bought a Aloe Vera Gel from Amway for skin conditioning also to reduce any acne scars or break out.

Score :  10/10

5. Holika Holika's Silky Veil Primer

This product I absolutely rave about, it has a very shiny sheen on it, it makes the skin very supple and it is also long-lasting, what I really like about this is that, it still stays on the skin preventing the makeup from vanishing itself, and it also keeps the skin smooth and supple WHILE wearing make-up and the ingredients doesn't even give me break-outs which is a very AWESOME news.

Score: 10/10

6. Silky Girl's Moisture Rich Lipstick ( 04 Illusion and 18 Appealing)

I like to wear these lipsticks the most because of its natural shade of brown, red and pink. My favorite would be the 04 Illusion because it is a match to my natural lip color. Suitable for everyday routine because it doesn't really have the shiny and glittery bits so it won't really attract any attention to your work mate. I usually wear the lipstick with a lip balm beneath it to give it a more glossy but natural look but now, I like to wear concealer on my lips and wear the lipstick alone, to give an illusion as if my natural lip color is according to the color that I used.

Score: 8/10
