Product Empties : March 2013

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Looking at the picture below, it’s a lot of make-up to throw away. All items are expired or used up or just doesn’t work for me anymore. I was having a clear-out on my make-up and I did not realize that I have so many make-ups that I should’ve thrown out a long time ago. I did change up how I store my make-up and such. It’s more spacey now that I’ve rearranged it.

1.       Essence All Eyes On Me Mascara – This is a nice purple mascara that is not waterproof, it does a nice job of creating volume for my lashes but unfortunately, it has dried out already, I’ve purchased a new mascara already from Essence, but I haven’t touch that yet and won’t touch it until all my mascaras are used up.

2.       Sariayu Foundation and Silkygirl’s Lightening Foundation -  The Sariayu foundation, it’s very easy to finish it as it does a great job of blending and brighten my face easily for everyday or everytime I go out for errands and such. Not something I’d repurchase hurrily. The Silkygirl’s Foundation, I’ve given up on it, it doesn’t make a very good impression of the hundred times I use it. The smell, the longevity, yuck!

3.       Tonymoly’s Milky Lip Tint – A big favourite of mine, I’ve been using it a lot and I’ve finally come to terms that both have already run out :’( I won’t be repurchasing this anytime soon, I have lots more lip tints to finish up!

4.       Silkygirl’s Long-wearing Eyeliner, Funky Eyeliner and Glitter Liner – I don’t know why I never can get on with their eyeliners very well, although their liquid pen liner is the best one so far amongst their eyeliners. I’ve never tried out the funky eyeliner out because they have this stinky smell that I kept putting off on throwing out, the glitter liner was I think an old stock, and the texture isn’t something I’d like to try. The Long-wearing Crayon Eyeliner smudges like crazy and doesn’t even have a great pigmentation!

5.       Safi Balqis Lipstick and Etude House Roll Roll Lipgloss – The Balqis lipstick is a favourite of mine as it is a MLBB shade but unfortunately, it was being discontinued from a long time ago, so I’m so sad to see this one go. The Etude House Lipgloss, the colour is nude, I love to pair it with a red lip tint to make it a little coral-ish but then I’ve actually saw the product has separated and the smell was bad and it’s time to throw it away.

6.       L’Action Dark Circle Corrector and Essence’s Pure Skin Spot Treatment – The only skincares I’m throwing out, I actually have finished up a lot of skincare products but I couldn’t be bother to actually bring it back to my room from the toilet just so I could take pictures with it. The L’Action was A WASTE OF MONEY, it doesn’t work, the gel doesn’t even do anything and the concealer that came with it dries up before I could even test it out. The Essence’s Spot Treatment is one of the few duds I’ve come across from Essence, it dries out too, which is understandable because it has some sort of alcohol in it.
What’s the one product that you kept on using up and repurchase all the time?

Make-up Review : Etude House LUCIDarling Fantastic Gradation Eyeshadow Palette in Nymph Brown Aura

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I have an eyeshadow palette to review for you girls, I received this from a good friend of mine as a birthday present last year, I love it to bits! I never really try out the make-up line from Etude House as it never really attracts me to try or maybe I'm just biased. Although, I think this is actually my first eyeshadow experience with Korean cosmetics as I'm not a big fan of their sheer pigmentation and overly shimmery shimmers.

But since this is a gift, at least I was able to experience using Korean-made eyeshadows. At first when I saw this palette, I never really know that these palettes exists, there's a few eyeshadow palettes from this range, some are lovely looking, but as soon as I went to the shop and checked out the tester, the colors weren't so pigmented as I wanted it to be.

So I had the Nymph Brown Aura, which is a weird name compared to the rest of the palettes. It house 2 matte and 2 shimmer eyeshadows. The brown are more on the taupe side, it felt a bit on the cool side as I somehow feel it doesn't suit me so much. I can pull it off but this is not the best neutral palette I've encountered.

But I really love how the eyeshadow on each pan looks like some sort of velvet cushion, it almost reminds me of Burberry's eyeshadows.

I would love for the brown/taupe shimmer to be a bit darker so that it can be the ultimate smokey eyeshadow palette, but yeah, this is what I get.

On an another note, the textures of these eyeshadows are amazingly creamy and they could actually last without a primer pretty well, although the colors won't be so pigmented unless you packed it in. Although the gold color has the smallest pan from the rest, I think the designer of this palette knows what they're doing as I'm not sure I'd be able to use it as often as I can.

I don't think I'll miss out a lot on these, but I'd love to try other eyeshadow palettes from other Korean brands.

Make-up Review : Etude House Golden Ratio Face Glam Highlighter in 02 Pink Goddess

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I know I've promised you reviews for the new skincare from Essence but I'm still developing and still testing out the products so it takes longer than it should be, I did buy a lot of skincare products from Essence so it takes time to test and review them lol, but thanks for being patient. I'll go on and review a new highlighter that I just can't get myself to buy.

I came to want to review this as I've received a sample from my friend who is not interested in make-up but I thy shall change her opinions on that *evil laugh* heee heee heee

I've always been skeptical about highlighter, I do own a few, but I've never tried using it out on public, only using it when I play with makeup with my friends :p

And no, I didn't finish both these samples, I was afraid that it would dry out, because with these baby, a little goes a long way, so I've milked it into a small jar and somehow I think this is just enough to last me awhile, so I might not buy the full product and just depend on the samples, LOL.

The pink goddess highlighter has a creamy texture, which I really love, it's very easy to blend out, it goes on pinkish with shimmers, as it blends, there's just a slight pink tone but overall a white shimmer over your face, although you'd definitely going to use just a drop or two to apply this. I think this highlighter suits me well, it really defines my highlighted area very well on to a point that I'm really loving this, I'd definitely going to ask for more samples after I've finished it, never mind buying it :P

Well, okay, I will buy it when I move to Malaysia where it'll be somewhat cheaper and plus they seem to always have a big sale running, so I do love myself a bargain :p

I've used this on when I went to my friend's wedding that I've posted a few weeks ago.

Want-it Wishlist : Bits and Bobs

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Another Want-It Wishlist post, and the ones below are the ones I really really love to have RIGHT NOW! LOL.

YSL Glossy Lip Stain, a current cult in the blogosphere, it has tons of shades to pick from so this is something I would love to try because most Korean lip stains only has 3 shades : Pink, Red and Orange.

A Lip and Cheek stain from Benefit, a regular in the blogosphere, always popping here and there. Some prefer the red tint, was it the Cha Cha Tint? LOL, I can never remember names of products so much. However, I love pink tints as they come of as vibrantly natural on my lips.

Cute shower foams from Etude House containing Milk Extracts! I went to the store a few days ago and I am in love with the Chocolate Milk, Steamed Milk and the Banana Milk. They smell so delicious, almost like the real thing! I would definitely buy this on my next pay! :D

This is not the exact Garnier BB Cream that is available in our local store, I think the exact name of their product was Instant Moisturizer BB Cream? It costs just abou $9.90 or lower, a very cheap BB Cream, I don't think it'll have a lot of coverage, might come across as a tinted moisturizer, nevertheless, this is mine on my next pay.

Unfortunately, items are sold separately in our local Etude House and much more expensive, therefore I'll be purchasing this when I live in KL next year :D

I think I'd love to try something more mild than a bottle of oil to reduce my ever-so-obvious acne marks that I depend on makeups and poor lighting to make me look flawless in pictures i.e the OOTD a few weeks ago wearing my brown Baju Kurung.

My Make-up Collection : Eyeshadow Palettes

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So, I guess I can show you my humble collection of eyeshadows, I haven't receive my MUA palettes yet. So, this is the current collection I have of my eyeshadows, I only have, what, 2 palettes, 4 quads and a duo eyeshadows. I'm trying to add up new collections but then, I hardly have the need to it, because these are the colors that I would use for everyday looks or special night out.

It's a very poor and humble collection of mine, I only have 1 product each from Etude House and Revlon and the rest is basically Silkygirl. I think they're the best drugstore brand ever, cheap and high-quality at the same time.

And I just love the Blockbuster Quad Palettes. I have Green Forest, Violet Crush and Bare Natural. As you can see, my Bare Natural is messed up because I use that more than my other palettes. Though I really love the Green Forest palette, cuz it gives a nice shadow to give my eye the brightness that it needs.

A little something that I've reviewed before. I liked to use the light pink with any of its dark counterpart to create a soft smokey effect.

I guess I'm a bit disappointed with Revlon's eyeshadow palette, because I found it to be chalky and not too pigmented.

This is the Silkygirl's Duo Eyeshadow in Blue Heaven, I got it for free. Hardly use this though.

A birthday present from my lovely friend, I love the neutral shimmery eyeshadow. Also, this is my go-to eyeshadows for a sleek and neutral make-up for nights' out. LOL.

So, there you have it, my collections of eyeshadow palettes, I'm trying to use these up before I head off to Malaysia to study there next year, though I know it won't be easy to finish up eyeshadows, but I'll surely will have to finish up my eye makeups, concealers, BB Creams and foundations so that I won't leave this house with any make-ups cuz I know the little sister would love to play with my make-ups. I guess I need a make-up shopping ban.

Product Empties : February 2012

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So I'm going to do something new, I just realized that I have a lot of empty products for the month of February, so I decided to post it up, may all you invisible readers that think I'm too materialistic will think twice now that you see what I've finished! :D

So here it all of the products that I've finished! How about that? A pat on the head for me!

So this two paletees, I have these for a very long long long time, I think it was back from 2006? So they pretty much expired a long time ago! These are just cheap make-ups that my mother bought for me, somehow, even though they are cheap, but they do have high pigmentation, especially the blushes, though I can't remember how they fare in terms of longevity of the products when applied cuz I don't dare to use these again, for fear of clogged pores.

I think I've raved enough of this primer but never have I reviewed it, but don't worry, I will try to remember about it! I've used up all of this primer, until I've cut the top of the container and try to extract as much of the primer as I can till it dried up!

My make-up remover, something I might repurchase because it's almost like a make-up remover plus cleanser because it won't give you an oily film after washing off your make-up.

My shampoo, yes, with my headcover, I'm bound to have a dandruff problem, so this is my solution! I'd definitely repurchase this but this time, I'd purchase the one with Medicated Menthol!

It's a lipstick from Safi Balqis in 31 Ros Berri, it's a Malay phrase for Rose Berry, it gives me a pink matte finish almost natural, though it is very moisturizing, I would repurchase this IF I'm able to find this again, maybe I'll try Hua Ho or Utama Grand.

Garnier's Overnight Light Whitening Peeling Cream

What can I say about this product is that, the effect is not permanent, it gives you this brighter complexion the next morning, however it fades when night comes, so I think this is actually a dupe for Tonymoly's Tomatox Massage Cream? Because, the results are similar, though I don't have one but from reviews, it's almost similar to this. I think I'll just repurchase because I can't really afford the Tomatox.

It's actually a perfume, I think from Avon or something similar, I've had this for a long time already, so I think I'll open up the bottle and sterilize it and what not, put my favorite Johnson's baby cologne into this bottle. Oh yes baby, I've used a baby cologne as my perfume, it's my inner child calling! LOL :P

That's about it, I guess, see you next time! :D

Random Ranting : A great birthday!

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I had an awesome birthday, though no celebration, but still it's good enough :D and of course, I want to say thanks to all of my facebook friends, relatives, twitter friends and also my blogging friends!

First up, this is a collective birthday e-card from my bestfriend and I believe the Pink-lover (you know who you are! :p) is the designer of this e-card and I am touched to actually read and believe it or not, I cried reading it, I know I can lean on them when I'm sad or happy :')

An unexpected birthday blog post from lovely Melli! She's a real sweet girl, and I'm so jealous of her handwriting! Wish I can even barely write this way! LOL! Thanks again Melli! You're the best! :D

So let's go on to my birthday haul! I went out to my neighboring country, Malaysia's Sarawak to Miri town, they have lots of good bargains there! And, the items there is much cheaper than in Brunei.

Here's a 10-pair eyelashes from an unknown brand, I can say that some of them are pretty flimsy in design, but they cost me RM6.90, so no complains there. which is almost less than US$2.

These are the facial cleansers that I repurchase, on which I know I need to get on with a review! HEHE, it's the Follow Me Oil Control + Whitening and Anti-Shine facial cleanser.

A repurchase, Solo Care Aqua Lens Solution. A good lens solution, it's way cheaper in Miri than here, it cost me RM16.90, which is less than B$8 or US$5.

Two lotions from Johnson's, the 24-hour moisture body lotion was an accidental purchase! I thought it was a new package of the other lotion, so I bought one again! Hee.

Two mascaras, Silkygirl's Lash Prism Waterproof Mascara (repurchase) and IN2IT Waterproof mascara, will review on this after I finish up my Hi-Def Mascara from the previous review post.

Luckily, Miri stocks these baby up! I was gonna buy all 4 of the available flavors, but decided against it, and bought these 2 Maybelline's Baby Lips in Anti-Oxidant Berry and Menthol

Bionics contact lenses, hopefully I won't regret purchasing this, last I wore a cheaper lenses, it dries up my eyes like crazy. I will use this next month! Heee :D

I bought a pink tote for it's quality, I was surprised that it was just RM25! YES, you've read it, it's RM25! Converting it, it costs me B$10 or US$6.

It only has one big space in it, so I definitely would use a bag organizer to use this! Just to keep myself from having to fish into the bag for a very long time.

Two sketchbooks, I needed these!

I can't remember how much this costs me. I think it's about RM20-RM30, but anyways, still affordable and sturdy! I actually used this for school.

The insides, er, is it time for me to make a "What's in My Bag" post? LOL!

Then, these are just tees and under-tees that I bought for about RM110 for all of it from a wholesale shop, less than B$50? I went crazy buying these and I definitely want to go to those kind of shops again for the next trip!

A birthday present from my friend, The Artist, a blurred picture of him drawing a birthday cake on my hand, LOL!

My birthday lunch meal, a recommendation from a friend who likes sour food, Mango Chicken with Fried Rice, it was delicious but the mangos are too sour for me =/

Believe it or not, I told my lecturer about my birthday and he handed me a 20-cent on my palm. LOL! My first birthday present from a lecturer!

We went to the Empire Hotel & Country Club's Atrium to stop by..

and buy macaroons! A birthday treat from my friend!

A box of EIGHT MACAROONS!

Lavender, Rose, Raspberry, Mango, Greentea, Pistachio and Black Sesame! Yummy!

Then a friend of mine, gave me this pink box.

I seriously love the pink box! I even don't want to open it, for fear that it ruins the ribbons, LOL!

Ferrero Rocher, delish! Then I saw the pink paperbag, and saw the word "ETUDE"

ETUDE HOUSE's LUCIDARLING FANTASTIC GRADATION EYES!!!! I'm so hyped up looking into the paperbag!

A cute pinky pallete in Glowing Brown Aura.

It has 2 shimmery shadows and 2 matte shadows, I adore this, I've been eyeing on this palette, though I'm not too obsesses with this, but I just think that I would love some more neutral shadows in my collection. I love this! And I wore it the next day, all I can say that I love the look that these 4 shadows gave! Review will be up soon!

Also, here's me with my macaroons!

I forgot to take a picture of the birthday cake from my Biring (aunt), thanks Biring! It's a vanilla cake with fruit cocktails :D
