Skincare Review : Nexcare Acne Patch

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Today is my birthday and I've reached 22! Not a big milestone for me, celebration was at the minimum, as I had 2 tests to study and 2 tutorials to finish up on that day. So, it wasn't a big deal for me and I actually, for a moment, forgot about my birthday. LOL!

I will try to remember and add in my a few pictures of my tiny birthday celebration later on. Now, we're going to review this baby. I think I've delayed the review for this particular product for more than a year already, talking about procrastinating, huh?

I've used this a lot of times and believe me when I say I purchased this more than 10 times already and that's how much I love it and how effective it is for my acne-prone skin.

Basically it's just stickers with two sizes and what it basically does is that it absorbs those white disgusting pus that comes from pimples and I usually do this to my bigger zits as to my smaller zits that could be called as spots can be removed by exfoliating.

Technically, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, it really depends on how big is your pore is at the current pimple spots. Sometimes it doesn't really work on my forehead as I can safely assume that my pores on my T-Zone isn't that big as this is more effective absorbing the pus and thus reducing the pimple size around my cheek areas. Although if I popped JUST A LITTLE BIT of my pimples on my forehead and put this onto it, it really is effective and by the next morning, the swelling will reduce itself.

It takes about literally a day and a half to actually really get rid of pimples. What I like about this acne stickers is that it creates a nice barrier so you won't be tempted to disturb your acne spots.

I've already repurchased this and I'm planning to buy the ones that has less than 15 pieces to be put into my first-aid mini bag.

Skincare Review : Essence Pure Skin SOS Spot Killer

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

On another review with Essence, well, I hope you aren't bored with it cuz these are the only things I've bought recently. Technically, this has been sitting in my draft for months. I bought this, hoping that it could help me with my search for the perfect zit-zapper. As I really like the toner because of the effect its giving me, I'd definitely be repurchasing the toner after I'm done with it and also the other refreshing toner from Essence.

SOS Spot Killer, I'm sorry girl as this has been sitting long in my drafts, so I can't really remember the ingredients. But there's no salicylic acid and no oxybenzoate. The two most coveted chemicals used to reduce breakouts, so of course, I'd be curious on how it fares with my Oxy 10.

It comes with an unpractical glass jar-like tube, it looks like normal lip gloss tubes but it was made of glass, if I unscrew or screw the top, it would screech, so I was afraid of its fragility.

It comes with a brush applicator similar to nail polishes.

It gives of an off-white fast-drying liquid, and I don't even know why I bother to blend it out. But as you can see here, this is not something you can whip up when you're out and about.

I think, in terms of performance, it only slightly reduce swellings and redness, which isn't something I'm not looking for, I want it to be effective to zap zits. Since it contains alcohol, it is good for disinfecting wherever your pimples are located.

On another note, I haven't used this a lot, but I found out that if you do not close this off properly, the product will dry up.

Even if this thing is cheap, but it's just a waste of money if it doesn't do the job properly and doesn't even last that long in the bottle.

Skincare Review : Pure Skin Anti-Spot Moisturizer

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I admit I'm not a big fan of moisturizing my skin as I do have an oily-combination skin so to me moisturizing wasn't so important but that was when I'm not so into skincare and I'm not even sure what kind of moisturizer that I'd like to buy. I mean I'm a bit picky when it comes to skincare, I don't really like to change up my routine so much, I've changed my cleansing routine a lot of times but I don't want to have a lot of choices when it comes to applying creams on my face, I prefer to use as little product as possible.

This moisturizer from Essence is from the Pure Skin range and the range itself targets people with problematic skin.

It's a normal moisturizer that smells almost minty but in a medicinal way if that even makes scent, the texture is very light and I only need the size of a pea to cover my entire face so a little goes a long way with this product.

What I can say about this product in terms of performance is that, it's just basically an okay moisturizer, it absorbs well but for something that targets problematic skin at least it should have been able to let my face stay matte or shine-free for at least 5-6 hours but it didn't have much oil control.

As far as anti-spot it claims to be, it doesn't really sooth any of my current breakout, so yeah, not a repurchase for me.

Skincare Review : Purederm Acne Wash Cleansing Tissues

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I've bought this a long time ago and I've used it tons of times, which is enough for me to review it. I've always looked for any cleansing wipes that could be clean my face thoroughly when I'm too lazy to go to the loo to clean up properly.

So I bought this wipes from Purederm, I love their masks, which reminds me that I should stock up on their masks, LOL. But anyways, since I have a good experience with this brand, so why not try other things from their range.

From the moment I see the opening of the wipes, I was very disappointed as this encourages drying up of the wipes if not closed properly.

A normal wipe with enough moisture to cleanse a whole face.

Not a great makeup remover but then it wasn't commercialized for makeup removing, this is something an acne-prone person most likely to buy, it has this tea tree scent that smells so revolting to me, but that's just me, it does clean up your face well, as for its claim to reduce acne, no I don't think it really does anything for my acne, it might reduce chances of breaking out but it doesn't help with my acne.

All in all, it's an okay product for me and it's not something I'd purchase again, unless Paloma has those 70% discount promotion then I'd definitely buy these again.

Want-it Wishlist : Bits and Bobs

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Another Want-It Wishlist post, and the ones below are the ones I really really love to have RIGHT NOW! LOL.

YSL Glossy Lip Stain, a current cult in the blogosphere, it has tons of shades to pick from so this is something I would love to try because most Korean lip stains only has 3 shades : Pink, Red and Orange.

A Lip and Cheek stain from Benefit, a regular in the blogosphere, always popping here and there. Some prefer the red tint, was it the Cha Cha Tint? LOL, I can never remember names of products so much. However, I love pink tints as they come of as vibrantly natural on my lips.

Cute shower foams from Etude House containing Milk Extracts! I went to the store a few days ago and I am in love with the Chocolate Milk, Steamed Milk and the Banana Milk. They smell so delicious, almost like the real thing! I would definitely buy this on my next pay! :D

This is not the exact Garnier BB Cream that is available in our local store, I think the exact name of their product was Instant Moisturizer BB Cream? It costs just abou $9.90 or lower, a very cheap BB Cream, I don't think it'll have a lot of coverage, might come across as a tinted moisturizer, nevertheless, this is mine on my next pay.

Unfortunately, items are sold separately in our local Etude House and much more expensive, therefore I'll be purchasing this when I live in KL next year :D

I think I'd love to try something more mild than a bottle of oil to reduce my ever-so-obvious acne marks that I depend on makeups and poor lighting to make me look flawless in pictures i.e the OOTD a few weeks ago wearing my brown Baju Kurung.

Want-it Wishlist : Shills

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies,

In my facebook, I've added a seller that posts their stocks online to sell but they actually have a shop called Cal's Beauty Studio in Gadong. They sell mostly products from Shills which is actually from Taiwan.

And the products that they sell is very tempting, though I find that the products are very overpriced, even with discounts there's hardly any different, it's still is very expensive for my budget.

Diamond Girl BB Cream
I found this available in Paloma too, but it's poorly stocked so I don't have any interest on buying it at Paloma, but still this picture gives me a curiosity to try.

Luxuty Chocolate Mask
Sounds intriguing and delicious, I think I may purchase this but if I found it to be cheap! Not sure about the price they're selling.

Medicated Anti-Acne Roller Essence

An acne-prone person would be very curious about a product like this, I too being acne-prone, would love to try this out!

Oats Gentle Facial Peeling

Oatmeal is actually a very good core for your skin, I once used only oatmeal as my facial cleanser and gentle exfoliator so this is something I'd love to try.

Pore Free Acne Gel

From the name of this product, it should give you shrinked pores and acne-free, a 2 in 1 combo.

Super Magic Spray BB Cream

This got me very curious, BB cream in Spray? Isn't that a little bit too weird that you spray BB Cream on your face, but somehow something that I would love to try.

Vanilla Milk Balm

This sounds delicious, nuff said.

Tourmaline Blackhead Mask

It claims to remove blackheads, it's something that I think I should try! :D
