Beauty Buys : 3 days straight!

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I was a part-timer promoting for a company that promotes and markets a few brands such as Nandos, Bad Lab and Good Virtues Co. They were promoting those brands at the ASEAN Consumer Fair 2015. I was there to also promote and help sell the products. Promoting their products for hours and hours, really lures me in to try out their product, unfortunately even I as promoter, I can't get them for free but I did get a hand lotion that really smells nice!

Also, I did get some bargain with the Holika Holika and Clio products and got them for a fraction of the price that they usually sell. And, the brushes, I bought them from Paloma, I was in need of new brushes but poo, I hated the blush brush it was so not what I expected!

What I bought:
1. Good Virtues Co Brightening Day Cream
2. Good Virtues Co Brightening Facial Cleanser
3. Good Virtues Co Make-up Remover
4. Good Virtues Co Brightening Facial Toner
5. Good Virtues Co Brightening Cream
6. Holika Holika Cream Shadow & Petite Liner
7. Clio Kill Black Waterproof Brush Liner
8. Clio Gelpresso
9. Satine Blush Brush
10. Cosmetica Eyeshadow Blending Brush

Make-up Review : Holika Holika Eyeshadow in PK104

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Let's say that I am feeling a little bit guilty that I haven't updated any reviews on my blog, there's still a lot of products for me to review.

So I bought a nail polish remover from Holika Holika, I'm a noob when it comes to nailcare so I'm not sure of which brand that I'd like to buy from, so it came with free eyeshadow, there was a few choices but I decided to opt with a pink one because I was, at that time, wanted to look for a pink eyeshadow.

What I don't like about Korean eyeshadows are that they can sometime overwhelm you with tons of shimmer, I realize I never really use it because as you can see from the swatch, it's so shimmery that you can only see it as a highlight color with pink tones running through.

I think this is an old stock because although I can easily get the product on my finger or brush, I still find the texture a little hard. Though it is still easy to blend.

FOTD : It was just another wedding reception

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Another FOTD and an inclusive ROTD (Ring of The Day), I won't be posting a lot of ROTD because I hardly have an extensive collection. So I might just use my next few pays to actually invest in some of these finger candies.

Went to a wedding reception of my cousin's cousin, I went there with my brother and little sister. I'm sorry about the picture below, it's only after the reception that I decided to take pictures, LOL!

But it was okay, my nose is a little bit shiny but that's normal for me. Sorry for my bleeding lips, it's not in its best condition currently.

Skincare Review : Smooth Egg Skin Charcoal Egg Soap

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies,

This is a backlog that I've been meaning to review this but I hardly use this for everyday use at that time but I'm currently using this everyday so, I think it's time for me to tell you girls on what I think about this product, this was a gift from a friend because this product did not work on her. At first, I thought this egg soap is for reducing blackheads, so I actually wanted to write off as a big NO to repurchase this but then I went to the packaging and it says for sebum control.

So I had to test it out again for a few weeks with a different perspective, and here it is.

It's very small, but don't let it get to you, I hardly made any changes to the size of the soap after a few months' of use, so this might be around $15+ but one egg soap lasts you a very long time.

What I like about this soap is that it doesn't give me any dry or tight-feeling on my skin, I still can feel that this soap did not strip my face of natural oils. As far as sebum control goes, I think it's safe to say that I actually apply a lot of product on my skin after washing my face so it does actually affect the way this soap performs, but I once was so tired and forgot to moisturize my face after washing it with this, after a few hours' nap, I found there's little oiliness on my T-zone and other parts of the face is still as fresh as it was a few hours's ago.

So this is a nice product to use, but I don't think I'd necessarily need it but I definitely would use these 2 soaps up.

Make-up Review : Holika Holika Silky Veil Primer

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Finally, I've actually get my bum off of procrastinating and actually reviewing my holy grail primer! Well, that would be an overstatement, because I can't really afford to pay for this as my college budget, I think I will keep on looking for something better than this within my budget.

I've heard good reviews about Catrice's primer, so I might just purchase that as they are the budget-friendly cosmetic.

So anyways, this silicone gel primer, I'm not sure why it differs to some of my silicone gel primer, but somehow this is the best one I've encountered. I think Revlon's primer, although it's good, but it doesn't have  the performance that this does with my skin.

As per what silicone primer does, it minimizes your pore's visibility, giving a good smooth canvas for more makeup, although a con is that it doesn't even out your skintone but it does last a long time. This easily keeps my makeup fresh for 12 hours before it fades nicely.

So a really good primer in my point of view.

Do tell me what you use to prime your face before make-up

In My Bag : My Updated Everyday Makeup Bag

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I think I've been a very lazy blogger these days, for no good reasons actually, I've just been lazing off my lazy bum procrastinating on updating my blog consistently. I promised a post about my updated makeup bag which I bring almost every day if I ever go out  and this is for a little touch up.

My makeup bag's content has diminished to less than 10 items in it, as I find that I don't like to lug around a huge makeup bag and decided that to keep it at the bare necessity.

I brought my MUA eyeliner, lipstain, a lipstick/cream that I use for the day, Missha's lip palette which I found useful as not only they are so pigmented, they are useful to switch colors, a sample BB Cream, concealer palette and that small pot is a lipstick that I've depotted as the packaging was faulty and can't be twisted up.

There are times that my makeup is flawed, i.e my eyelining skill can get me in trouble for not being so precise and consistent on both eyes, a little too thick or a little too thin on one of the eyes. So it's good that you need a back up to

Also concealing palette for when my concealers need a little of touch up. I hardly need to touch up my blush, so I decided not to bring any, even if I need to, I could just use the lipstain from Holika Holika to replace as my blush. I also bring a compact powder which I forgot to take a picture of.

I'm going to post a few In My Bag posts, this time when I'm staying in a hotel, I'll have a few posts on it as it really matters where you're staying to actually bring some of your makeup and skincare item.

Hope you like this post, tell me what you bring in your makeup bag.

Make-up Review : Holika Holika Enamel Lipstick in BR501

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

This is a lipstick from Holika Holika and I realized I never really gave reviews of lipsticks and mascaras, but I'm trying to do that now. I was a bit disappointed with myself that I bought this as I've actually found a Maybelline's lipstick that has almost the same shade, much cheaper and much more better in terms of performance.

I love the packaging though, it's very sturdy and very beautiful among my dull lipstick collection. I've been toying around with this lipstick as I'm still not sure whether I love it or hate it. But the packaging's theme is similar to some of the products, especially my Primer Base, translucent purple plastic with gold. Overall, not a bad packaging too.

The downside is that if you're collecting these, you won't know which one is which, unless you remember the codes, you'd have to open each one to find the shades you want.

The one I picked up is a nude peachy pink, I think the color suits me for those smokey looks, I always pair this with several coats of red tint, so I'd be able to use this daily without looking so dead, not that the lipstick isn't so flattering, but wearing it with a natural look, it would make me look like I'm sick.

The texture is somewhat creamy but on a dry side. At first few applications, it went well with me, but after that, I have problems with it being so glittery, the lipstick is rough to wear as there are glitter grits. The glitters aren't so noticeable, but sometimes if you're not being careful, don't use your fingers to apply this on your lips as the glitter would transfer everywhere.

I was regretful as at that time I wanted a matte lipstick and this is actually a matte lipstick, but I dislike the gritty glitters ans it really does seeps onto your lip line, so apply lipbalm before the lipstick. I wished I bought the creamy line as it would've been much more bearable than this.

Finished Product : Holika Holika Watery Petit BB Cream

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So I don't really like to have these finished products of the months cuz I have this terrible memory to even update it each month. So what I would like to do is that, everytime I have a finished product, I would post it up.

So this is actually the first BB cream I ever liked to wear for my everyday use. It was one of my first BB Cream when I started to wear makeup and I finally got to say that I've fnished this up after less than a year. So I guess it took me this long to finish it.

I've actually reviewed this HERE but what I can say is that this is a lovely product, gives a nice coverage and lasting powers ain't that bad but then, I won't be repurchasing this since I have more BB Creams to use up :D

Skincare Review : Holika Holika Magic Salt Deep Cleansing Tissue

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So, I've never really tried other make-up removal wipes other than Holika Holika, Purederm and Formula 10.0.6, although I think I prefer Holika Holika's cleansing wipes as it always contains a lot of sheets. As for this cleansing wipes, there is actually no indications of how much sheets is in that one package, might be just a little over 100? Cuz it's too thick for it to be less than 80 and it does actually takes me about 2-3 months to finish up that one pack.

My first cleansing wipes was also from Holika Holika which is of Kiwi, I love that wipes but I just don't love the way it feels way too heavy for me after removing my make-ups, so I have to actually double cleanse after a busy night, which is not what I want in a make-up removal wipes, so I've decided to check this out.

The wipe is very thin and not very long, but don't let it fool you, I don't know about you girls, but I always just use one wipe to cover the whole face.

So here is testing out the wipes, I've put on eyeshadows, BB Cream, Lip Tint on my hands, let it set for a while. Then I wipe then off in one quick sweep.

Amazing isn't it? There's still some leftovers, but it managed to wipe off most of the make-ups I've applied on, though it will take a while to actually remove waterproof mascara but it is still doable. I've repurchased the wipes, it shows that I'm showing these a lot of loves.

Hopefully you find this review useful, what are your favorite make-up removal wipes?

My Make-up Collection : Make-up Bases (Face Primers and Eyeshadow Primers)

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

This just a collection of my face primers and eye primers. Not a lot, but enough to last me for more than 6 months? LOL.

Essence

A lovely make-up base from Essence, but not fond on it caking up my foundation around my nose area. But the eyeshadow base is purely awesome, a great base for my eyeshadows, gives more colors and also gives longevity to my MUA pen eyeliner.

Holika Holika

My holy grail primer, the Silky Veil Primer, I don't know when I'd be reviewing this up, because this is my second purchase and I'm running out of it! The HD Skinny Primer Base is pretty much a very great base for my makeup, but I still prefer my Silky Veil Primer :p

MUA Professional
The famous budget brand from UK, I love the face primer, but I don't think it can stand the equatorial climate, so I rather use this basically at night, when I might be lazy to mix up my foundation with my BB Cream. Though I love their eye primers.

Revlon

A new addition to my collection, primer from Revlon Photoready, I think this has the potential to replace my Silky Veil Primer, but I'll be watching out for other primers :D

Random Pictures : Eek! Haul =/

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Did a big haul, well, just yesterday! But I didn't spend big bucks on them, thanks to Essence's skincare products! I think I'll be buying a few more =/ Darn you, ESSENCE!

I did went off to Holika Holika to find a nude lipstick and I actually found it! Mind you, I have a VERY pigmented lips, so looking for nude lipsticks for me are just a little tiring and hard to find. Also, I've bought the Magic Salt Cleansing Wipe, it's a repurchase, I love the clean crisp smell, if you want a review on the wipes, just comment below :D

What I've bought from Essence:

1. My Skin Tinted Moisturizer in Medium to Dark Skin
2. Eye Makeup Remover
3. My Skin Mattifying Cream
4. My Skin Cooling Eye Roll On

Anything you like me to review?

Make-up Collection : What's in my Make-up Bag

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Today, I'm going to do something different and I would love to show you what I usually bring in my make-up bag. As you can see from the picture below, the bag I have is very transparent and un-glamour-ish, only because I like it to be practical, this bag won't see the light of the day anyways.

This bag is from Oxy's Travel Pack from a few years ago, so I'm not sure anymore wherever you can get something like this.

This is the face products that I usually bring in with me, my Silkygirl Foundation Powder, my face brush, my almost nil Holika Holika Petit BB Cream in Watery, just in case I need to touch up my BB Cream. Also I brought my Essence color-corrector and Maybelline's liquid concealer.

I mostly bring practical make-up, I didn't bring any blushes only because it usually lasts for more than 6 hours and even if it fades after the 6-hour mark, I don't even bother to touch up my blush.

Since I hate my Hi-Definition mascara, I brought this to my make-up bag and only use this when I forgotten to wear mascara when I'm at home. I usually bring my Essence liners everywhere, then my Silkygirl's liquid liner is something that I hardly use because I just hate the idea of liquid liner, but I definitely use this for makeup emergencies, lol.

The Silkygirl's eyeshadow quad is something of a necessity for me, not only I use this for my natural smokey look, I use the 3rd color to color in my eyebrow. The blue and purple duo eyeshadow is just something that I throw in, just in case I need a little color to spice up my makeup.

I bring a lot of lip products.Holika Holika's Berry Tint, Maybelline Baby Lips lipbalm, NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream, the Revlon's famous lip butter, Silkygirl's lipstick gloss and Avon's lipstick and lip gloss. Lastly my The Faceshop's lip palette

So that's about it, I think it's just a humble collection but I forgot to mention here that I usually bring a small angled brush and a small eyeshadow brush for my eye makeup retouch, lol.

Random Ranting : Eh, Haul, Oops..

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

A picture of a haul that I've made a few weeks ago! LOL, all of this are from Holika Holika. I bought, only the Essential BB Cream and the HD Skinny Primer Base, the rest are just freebies goodies from the shop. I think Holika Holika gives generous freebies.

Also, from another purchase, I bought only Make-up Removal Tissues (just a repurchase) and they actually gave me a box of scented candles and it smells like cinnamon. They also give me a box of scented candles that smells like lavender too, when I bought the lip tint

Make-up Review : Holika Holika Essential Petit BB Cream

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So I'm going to make another BB cream review on the Holika Holika Petit BB line, I have one more that I need to own to actually be able to review all of the BB cream from that line which is the Pink Shimmering BB Cream. So anyways, back to the Essential Petit BB.

All of them have a range of SPF25-30, this one here has SPF30. I think the Orange Essential is basically a little something that works with all skintype as opposed to Moisture (dry skin), Clearing (oily skin), Watery (combination skin). I guess Essential can be something that nourishes your skin.

It's a bit creamier than the others, though the scent is almost similar to the Watery Petit but a little subtler than that. This BB cream gives you a semi-matte finish that you require a setting powder to set the BB Cream from streaking. I seriously love this BB cream, but I gave this baby to my little sister cuz I know she's  been jealous about the amount of make-up I own. So yeah, I gave this to her, right after using once.

Although it's weird that I actually gave a review based on a one-day application, but I've been so familiar with their Petit BB Line that it's hardly a surprise that I know the texture and such. The application is wonderful, since it's creamy, it's easy to blend and it oxidize nicely to adapt itself to your skintone, it gave me a natural look, almost a no-makeup makeup look. It also cancels out my redness and gives a medium coverage to my acne scars, I almost can get away with just this and a setting powder, without any concealer.

So anyways, you may need to touch up with this BB Cream or blot after 3 hours, at least. This is actually a nice BB Cream that I would recommend to you all.I think I'll buy this, later on when I fly off to KL maybe. LOL, do they have Holika Holika in KL? I hope so.

Product Empties : March

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I seem to be on a roll now that I've finished up five products, well, technically 3, as the other two are expired and I don't have the guts to wear them out anymore because it's very unhygienic.

1. Shurah Beauty Cream

To tell you the truth, I don't know what this is for, because I usually apply this all over my face to give me a bright glow, almost like a foundation. And this cream is very hard to blend, unless you use a brush for this. However, this is actually nice for when you don't want heavy make-up and use this as a highlighter or a concealer for your dark circles. I've bought this in 2009, so pretty much in the bins for me.

2. Holika Holika Daily Garden Olive Cleansing Cream

I've reviewed this before and I like to double cleanse after using this because it leaves an oily film on your face. And, I might or might not be repurchasing this, but the container of the creams are definitely useful for other uses, and I've put all of my sponge applicaters, small brushes that comes from palettes and such to put it into the containers to avoid big hassles of having the scattered around my dresser.

3. ELF Liquid Eyeliner

I've bought this a long time ago, it was about $7.90? I can't remember, and this is actually my first liquid liner, I dislike this liner because of the fact that it has an ugly smell in it and the brush applicator isn't precise, though the color is great, it is not good enough for me because it can easily be rubbed off and not waterproof, of to the bin it goes.

4. Hot Pink Super BB Cream Sample-Size 8g

I bought the sample at first, before I get on a splurge to buy it full-sized to check whether it'll be suitable for my skintype or not and I've already made a review on this.

5. Lip Ice lipbalm in Tangerine SPF20

It's a very nice lipbalm with a hint of menthol, with added UV protection, it has been a very great lipbalm for me, I've actually gone through about 6-7 of these for years already. Though I might be a converted user of Maybelline's Baby Lip Balm.

Make-up Review : Holika Holika HD Skinny Primer Base

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So, this is my second primer ever, I still think my first primer is the best! But then, to think about it, there's hardly anymore stock for my primer, so I have to make myself get ready for a replacement :'( boo hoo. But from my last Holika Holika haul, I was given a sample of the HD Skinny Primer Base and I didn't really grab and used it at first, I let it sit out on my bag of samples and when I was feeling a bit adventurous I set out to try this baby.

As it's only a base, it doesn't have UV protection, it is in a squeeze bottle which I found so sophisticated. In a gold and purple bottle.

It's a white cream that has a hint of blue in it, when applied, blends wonderfully and gives you a nice brighter look to your skin, giving a silky (but not silky enough) and matte finish, so that you can apply your BB Cream/Foundation very nicely in a soft glide.

It has a scent that I'm not sure if I'd like it or not, I'm partial to it. This primer actually gives a nice effect to my skin, it lasts longer than my first primer and it actually helps cancel out any redness so I don't have to use concealer around the side of my nose.

Also, it does cover up my pores in a sense that when I apply my foundation, there's hardly any pores visible, so I guess that's why it's HD, it's great for photoshoots.
