Want-it Wishlist: I Heart Makeup Chocolate Palettes

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Just another wishlist post and this time from a affordable UK brand, which is Makeup Revolution's sister brand since they were sold in the same website. At first, I didn't give heed on their new releases of the chocolate palette that are supposedly a dupe for the Too Faced chocolate palette but as soon as they released the Naked Chocolate, which is basically the white chocolate palette. There's 2 of the "chocolate" chocolate palette, but I rather choose the I Heart Chocolate palette than the Death by Chocolate Palette cuz this one has more colors in it than the latter which is more neutral.

The Naked Chocolate palette though, is a neutral palette heaven! I definitely know that these won't have the chocolate scent like Too Faced ones but I can't help but lemming to collect these two palettes just because they look like chocolates!

Make-up Review: Essence All About Nude Eyeshadow Palette

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Another Essence review! This time it is the new All About Nude palette, which is a new release from Essence. Although it is the same price as their 8-shadow palette but I am glad that they didn't include those eyeshadow applicators that are pretty much useless from my point of view. I didn't get to compare this with the old palette, but they pretty much have the same size but more compact and thinner.

This palette contains 6 shadows that are pink-toned neutral colors of shimmers, mattes and satin. These shadows are really nice compared to the old palettes as I can see the quality is higher and creamier.

The swatch shown is with and without primer, as you can see the colors are pigmented if you have a base underneath it and this is fine by me as I use eye primer every time I want to wear eyeshadows. The colors are quite versatile to give you a neutral day time look to a neutral night time. But it also can give you a little drama.

I brought this to Jakarta with my on my trip there, I seem to have this habit to wear full makeup everyday although I will still just go for a very minimal neutral look, usually with a pop of color or a jazz of dark shadow below the waterline. This is an ultimate lovely palette for me

Make-up Review: Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Palette in Iconic 3

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Sorry, new timetables and new course has thrown me off from writing this post! Also, I adopted a new sport so my attention to the blog is minimal! Let's go straight to the review, shall we!

The eyeshadow palettes from Makeup Revolution does seem to somehow follow a few palettes from Urban Decay and also Sleek, which is a good thing I guess? They are pretty much affordable, I do love the fact that they are bringing more new products into their line. I am sometimes overwhelmed by their amount of products not sure of what to try next.

Anyways, I actually forgotten to mention one important thing about their palettes, it is quite important to state this for all you who wants to travel with these palette. Well, it's nothing big but you can actually fit your favorite eyeliner, eyebrow pencil/crayons or travel eye brush in the palette itself! Well, it really depends if your choice is quite slender. But I'd definitely bring this for travel and put my eyeliner here. Too bad it doesn't fit more than one of the pencil items.

I bought the Iconic 3, just because it is a dupe for Naked 3. Out of all of the Naked line, Naked 3 has pulled my interest in trying out, but with personal reasons, I just choose to buy its dupe. The pink-toned colors of this palette does seem to match my skintone, I really love all of the shadows though even if the 3rd shadow is sheer but I like to use it as a subtle highlight. All the colors are really lovely and pigmented, I mix and match these shadows to pull off a lot of different looks and I'm actually planning to use this for my graduation ceremony soon.

The colors are satisfyingly useful for everyday, I actually tried this without primer it lasts pretty well, I do find fading in the 5-hour mark. But with a primer, in this case I used Make-up Revolution Focus Eye Primer, it does hold for 12 hours. Is this worth your money? Yes, I like to think so!

Make-up Review: Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Palette in Matte Bright

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So here I am with the Matte Bright palette review first, just to tease you girls before I go on and review the neutral palette from Makeup Revolution, Iconic 3, which is said to be a dupe for Naked 3. I love looking at Urban Decay's products but for personal reasons, I have decided to boycott myself from buying their products :( believe me, it wasn't an easy decision.

Moving on from that, let's get on to the review, I think this is a new makeup brand that has emerged to be the new budget brand, I really love their choices of eyeshadow palette as they seem to have an abundance of it. The palettes are slightly bigger than the likes of Sleek, MUA and Technic palettes. And somehow, in just an overnight period, they seem to be releasing more new products and I am one happy bunny when there is more eyeshadow palettes to buy, nyehehehe!

The eyeshadows are in a strip arrangement, just like the Naked line's palette, at first I was hesitant to buy these palettes because I assumed they would be very thin and I'm the kind of girl who loves to apply eyeshadows just using my fingers and it might not fit my fatty fingers. But fortunately, they are wide enough to fit my ring finger.

You can actually see the swatches with and without primer, I find that with primer, it helps the texture and the pigmentation itself. I find the electric blue to be utterly useless, I guess I don't mind since I have too many blues in my collection. The one that I really like is the grey eyeshadow, the texture is quite creamy than the rest of them, some are a bit chalky, some are powdery. The palette itself requires a lot f work as I find it hard to blend them when I use them as a crease color for a pop of color, using these to line underneath your eyes is easy, but blending it is a little hard.

Overall, I would give this palette a so-so rating, maybe because they are bright matte colors so it might be hard to make sure they are spot on. I might just give up on buying bright matte colors after this, lol.

Make-up Review: Sleek Contour Palette in Medium

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I am a noob when it comes to contouring, I hardly contour my face because let's face it, I'm a hijabi, I contour my face shape with my scarves! Yes, you can do that with your scarves. Hehehe, JK! But anyways, even if I do contour, I usually make sure it's for any events that I have chances of getting photographed. Especially going to my friends' wedding/engagement events.

I bought this yonks ago, to just only receive it last year's September. I was thinking of getting the Light one, but somehow the contour color seems so.. "light" for my skintone, so I decided to stick with Medium by checking out other blog reviews.

I do love this genius of a product! Because the color does not look muddy on me neither does it look orange. Although my face contouring skill sucks, I do have a nice nose contouring skill and the color really looks good on me giving shadows on my face in turn making my nose looks like I just sculpted it. LOL!

The highlighting part of the palette is seriously such a lovely color! I can never seem to get enough of using the color, it really look lovely when placed on my browbone and the highest point of cheekbones because it gives me subtle glows that I really love. The color is a shimmery beige, I do love to find any eyeshadows that matches this color because I'd use this everyday for a pop of neutral shimmer.

Both powders are creamy to touch and easy to blend, I'd love to repurchase this, hopefully I can find someplace that sells this when I've hit pan, because I really love to use this almost everyday!

Make-up Review: Essence Night Club Glamour to Go Eyeshadow Palette in 03 Dance Til Dawn

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Another review for you girls, I'm trying my best to set up as much reviews as I can as I seem to have a lot of backlog. As you can see from the title, I now have more than enough eyeshadow palette. I even warrant myself a shopping ban from buying more eyeshadow palettes, but I just couldn't stop myself ;)

I actually did plan on wanting to but this particular palette as if I need more purples in my collection, so I was excited when Paloma actually brings out more new stuff to Brunei.

Like the last palette I've bought from Essence, the quality was the same. A little hard but the shadows does not have a lot of fall-out.  Although the colors needs a little work by adding an eye primer to have that pigmentation above.

I really love this for a soft smokey look, especially the second shade on the second row, I really love to use it for the crease. I really like this palette as I actually can use it for day-to-day neutral look, even though it doesn't look like it can be used for a neutral look.

Make-up Review : Sleek Sunset Palette

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

It's been such a long time since I haven't put up a post in here, I'm sorry! I was very busy and when I do have free time, I always like to procrastinate. LOL! So anyways, I am still in backlog of posts. So maybe on hauls that I made last month and this month, I'll just put it together in one post. InshaAllah.

So another review on the Sleek palette that my bestfriend bought me which is the Sunset Palette. This is something that I pretty much adore more than the Au Naturel Palette as I am currently into bright colors.

This one has a plastic film but it doesn't have the names of the shadow, which is weird, I guess I got a dud on the plastic film. Anyways, all these colors are so bright and my favorite would've been the red and orange shadow, just because I have been lemming for those spectrum of colors, believe me, I don't know how to make a red wearable, but I made it work, but I didn't took a picture of it, well, maybe next time. LOL.

So for all of these shades, they are basically shimmery with a satin feel to it, except for the black. They don't really have much fall outs which is a good thing. They are very pigmented without a primer, though I love to use it with a primer because I just feel safer that way lol.

I really love this for a bright makeup look, but I won't see myself using this everyday, unfortunately. I love this palette so much though!

Make-up Review : Sleek Au Naturel Palette

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Let's have a drumroll for my first ever review for a brand that I've been lusting over... *drumrolls*

Sleek Makeup!!

So anyways, I have absolutely been obsessed with eyeshadow palettes and Sleek, however, caters to all of my obsessions. It's a little bit hard to obtain anything from Sleek as it is actually a UK brand.

It is more expensive than MUA but still on the affordable side. I was gutted that they didn't carry on with their waffle prints because I think that's what makes them special and more wanted. Now that they've turned to the usual pressed look, I guess there's not much anticipation to them anymore, I would've lusted over ALL OF THEIR PALETTES but then, I don't feel so excited anymore of wanting to collect them, maybe I will collect their blush palettes as I do love me some blush palettes. I currently don't have any blush palettes, lol.

Anyways, this is the Sleek Au Naturel palette, one of the neutral palettes they offered. I lost the plastic film so I won't be able to label all of the colours. The swatches seems unpromising but they do have lovely colours though the matte finish shadows are a bit of a let down, the darker mattes are pigmented enough but they are just hard for me to blend. The shimmery shadows, which are just 4 of them, they apply like a dream. They blend nicely.

The lighter matte shadows aren't so pigmented, but it can be build up, I like to use the lighter matte shadows as an overall lid colours. And I do use the dark brown matte colour as my eyebrow filler and it does make a great job as an eyebrow filler, I hardly draw my brows, I usually fill in my brows on where there are a few sparse spots.

This is a nice palette to have though I pretty much prefer my MUA palettes than these but overall a good palette. I might just want to try out the Storm or Original palette.

Make-up Review : Bling Eyeshadow Palette

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

It does seem like I can never get enough of neutral eyeshadow, I bought these from Daiso and I regret myself for refraining not to buy one of these more, because I really love them to bits and it does somehow has a higher quality than I actually expected.

There's actually only four eyeshadows and one of them is actually just an eyeshadow base, which is neat! I didn't really expect it to be an eyeshadow base as I thought it was just another skin-toned eyeshadow colour, I realized it was a base when I saw that it was sweating when I arrived to Brunei.

So anyways, it's just a normal neutral eyeshadow shimmery but almost matte palette, although the eyeshadows are surprisingly very buttery when applied that it has no problems of blending onto my eyes. I really love love the cream orange-y shade as it brightens up my eyelids so nicely and the white eyeshadow is surprisingly nice, it doesn't really give a stark white shade when blended.

The eyeshadow base however, is a little on the sticky side, it does give a little difference of pigmentation as you can see from the upper side of the swatch. It doesn't really stay that long on my lids, 5 hours max, so this might be a good palette for when you are just going out for errands but using this to work or school might be a bad move as you don't want to see creased eyeshadows by the end of the day.

Want-it Wishlist : Blush Palette Galore

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Hello guys! I think I’ve had too many Want-It Wishlists, but I really love to buy these palettes for giving those pinky glows on your cheek. Can you actually believe that I currently only have two blushes in my make-up collection? Not that I’m complaining as I am making full use of these two blushes.

Anyways, I’ve stumbled open a few blush palettes I’d like to have, where 4 of them are actually more of to the budget side.

1.       Neve Cosmetic’s Blushissmi Blush and Contour Palette – This is the most expensive out of all, but I assume that the quality of this palette is pretty much of the higher side due to the price. It’s as if there’s hardly any red-coloured blush which is somewhat a big nay for me, as I’d love to actually have a diverse range of color in my blush palettes. Though it’s a plus that they have contouring powder and what seems to be a highlighting palette.

2.       Cherimoya Blush Bronzer Palette – Something that is affordable around $5-7, which is fine by me as there are 4 different colours in it. Also, there’s actually a bronzer in there.

3.       Body Collection Blush Quad -  I’ve actually seen this because my friend bought it from UK, though at first I wasn’t lusting over it, but now that I love to venture on blushes, I wished I’ve asked her to buy it for me too. LOL!

4.       Cherimoya Mineral Blush Palette – There’s 2 blushes that are bright pink, while the other two are muted pink and a reddish pink. These blush quads from Cherimoya seems exciting to try.

5.       W7 Duo Blusher - Anything from W7 is definitely affordable and I’d love to try this out, I haven’t found any reviews regarding this particular product. But nevertheless, W7 is known to have pigmented blushes/bronzers. So not something I’d regret to try :D

Do you have any blush palettes that you could recommend?

Want-it Wishlist : Essence Sun Club and Night Club Palettes

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Another Want-It Wishlist, I should actually label it as Palette Wishlist as I am a real sucker for eyeshadow palettes and budget makeup. Combining both is a lethal combination for me as I'd definitely go on and drool over them. I've actually found a brand that really gets me going, I'd definitely post about it next time, InshaAllah. It might actually make you drool too.

Anyways, I've already purchased the first palette from Essence, though the texture wasn't so satisfying but at least it doesn't ruin the pigments of the eyeshadows, so I'd definitely want to go back for more.

The new palettes from the Night Club range is nice too! I'd love to get my hands on to the dark purple version. But I'd definitely try and get all of them for my collection, LOL!

Want-it Wishlist : Technic Palettes

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Okay, another wishlist and obsession over palettes. This is actually a brand from UK, I think I'm pretty much revised with some of the budget brands from UK than my friends in UK who are into makeup as well. LOL!

I'd definitely purchase all of these palettes, InshaAllah, so watch this space for the swatch and reviews, they actually are affordable too! They cost around B$4 each, so why not collect all, LOL!

Make-up Review : Essence Sun Club Glamour To Go Eyeshadow in 02 Long Beach

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Another Essence review! As a student with a college budget, there's no way I can get away with purchasing Essence or Catrice products, although I have made damage to the Catrice makeup stand, but I'll soon purchase a few stuff from them. *cue evil laugh*

Since I've been using a lot of use from MUA neutral palette, it's time for me to actually "save" the palette from hitting pan, yes I love it so much that I don't want it to hit pan. So I've actually looked for a nice alternative palette that would slow down my usage of MUA's palette. I actually use both the Undressed and Heaven and Earth palette pretty much everyday to school. And yes, I love to wear makeup to school, not that I'm using it excessively. LOL.

Then I realized that Essence do release some eyeshadow palette from their Sun Club range, why not? It's cheap, a palette costs me around $5.90? It's good value for money, with my membership to Paloma, I can even get a 10% discount. So all around, one shadow equals to about 70cents.

It's an all-neutral palette which contains shimmer eyeshadows, no matte. Which is actually a sad thing, because I'd definitely could use some mattes to balance my everyday look. The color ranges from pinks to brown with a golden color too.

The pigmentation is amazing, especially when you use primer underneath. Although the colors are a bit harder to use with the lighting, sorry, but they have good pigmentation. But the texture is a little bit rough, I won't say that it's creamy or buttery, but it's almost to the point of gritty. I assume the grittiness is because of the shimmers itself. But fortunately, only a few shadows are gritty the rest is creamy enough after a few wears out of this.

Since it's very cheap, it lasted for about 6-8 hours before it starts to fade, but I really don't mind about.

Though this is not something I'd repurchase but it is something that I could actually buy for my friends who are into makeup.

Make-up Review : Etude House LUCIDarling Fantastic Gradation Eyeshadow Palette in Nymph Brown Aura

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I have an eyeshadow palette to review for you girls, I received this from a good friend of mine as a birthday present last year, I love it to bits! I never really try out the make-up line from Etude House as it never really attracts me to try or maybe I'm just biased. Although, I think this is actually my first eyeshadow experience with Korean cosmetics as I'm not a big fan of their sheer pigmentation and overly shimmery shimmers.

But since this is a gift, at least I was able to experience using Korean-made eyeshadows. At first when I saw this palette, I never really know that these palettes exists, there's a few eyeshadow palettes from this range, some are lovely looking, but as soon as I went to the shop and checked out the tester, the colors weren't so pigmented as I wanted it to be.

So I had the Nymph Brown Aura, which is a weird name compared to the rest of the palettes. It house 2 matte and 2 shimmer eyeshadows. The brown are more on the taupe side, it felt a bit on the cool side as I somehow feel it doesn't suit me so much. I can pull it off but this is not the best neutral palette I've encountered.

But I really love how the eyeshadow on each pan looks like some sort of velvet cushion, it almost reminds me of Burberry's eyeshadows.

I would love for the brown/taupe shimmer to be a bit darker so that it can be the ultimate smokey eyeshadow palette, but yeah, this is what I get.

On an another note, the textures of these eyeshadows are amazingly creamy and they could actually last without a primer pretty well, although the colors won't be so pigmented unless you packed it in. Although the gold color has the smallest pan from the rest, I think the designer of this palette knows what they're doing as I'm not sure I'd be able to use it as often as I can.

I don't think I'll miss out a lot on these, but I'd love to try other eyeshadow palettes from other Korean brands.

Want-It Wishlist : Wet and Wild Eyeshadows

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I'll apologize first for the lack of updates and in the future, I might resume in February, in time for my birth month! I've been very busy with my offline life as things were very hectic and as you can see on my Instagram today, you would see I took a pic of a Tuna Mayo and Tomato Sandwich, I kid you not, but that was my school's assignment.

I'm currently listening to cover songs that my friend from Little Red Viola introduced to me and so far I've been listening a lot to Alex Goot, Maddie Jane, Boyce Avenue and Max Schneider. You should actually check my friend out, she's a Bruneian beauty/lifestyle blogger. Also, she's my bestfriend!

For today's Want-It Wishlist, I've included the famous Wet and Wild Eyeshadow palettes. No one can deny it that not only they are cheap and affordable, the eyeshadows are also very pigmented. It's a cult product that I just need to have. If I were rich, I'd love to collect all of them.

The above picture is the Color Icon range, I must say that I'd love to have Lust and Greed, as the colors are the ones that I get a lot of use!

For the trio shadows, I think this is useful to stash it into your portable makeup bag, as sometimes I am rushed to school and the eyeshadows I wear could actually be a little uneven. So touching up using the trios are useful, although I'd love to have "Walking on Eggshells", "Sweet as Candy", "Knock on Wood" and "Sweet Treatment" while the others are a plus to collect. There's some of the trios sold on 99cents chain store in America, selling for $0.99, I am so jealous that it's way too far for me to grab these and obviously, I have no friends going to America.

I think since there's only 3 of them, why not just collect them all? LOL! Though I'm not a big fan of Blue Had Me At Hello as I think I have a large amount of blue eyeshadows in my collection, well. Maybe not more than 15, but I still think I have had enough of blue eyeshadows. I crave for colors, believe it or not!
