Make-up Review: Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Palette in Matte Bright

So here I am with the Matte Bright palette review first, just to tease you girls before I go on and review the neutral palette from Makeup Revolution, Iconic 3, which is said to be a dupe for Naked 3. I love looking at Urban Decay's products but for personal reasons, I have decided to boycott myself from buying their products :( believe me, it wasn't an easy decision.

Moving on from that, let's get on to the review, I think this is a new makeup brand that has emerged to be the new budget brand, I really love their choices of eyeshadow palette as they seem to have an abundance of it. The palettes are slightly bigger than the likes of Sleek, MUA and Technic palettes. And somehow, in just an overnight period, they seem to be releasing more new products and I am one happy bunny when there is more eyeshadow palettes to buy, nyehehehe!

The eyeshadows are in a strip arrangement, just like the Naked line's palette, at first I was hesitant to buy these palettes because I assumed they would be very thin and I'm the kind of girl who loves to apply eyeshadows just using my fingers and it might not fit my fatty fingers. But fortunately, they are wide enough to fit my ring finger. 

You can actually see the swatches with and without primer, I find that with primer, it helps the texture and the pigmentation itself. I find the electric blue to be utterly useless, I guess I don't mind since I have too many blues in my collection. The one that I really like is the grey eyeshadow, the texture is quite creamy than the rest of them, some are a bit chalky, some are powdery. The palette itself requires a lot f work as I find it hard to blend them when I use them as a crease color for a pop of color, using these to line underneath your eyes is easy, but blending it is a little hard.

Overall, I would give this palette a so-so rating, maybe because they are bright matte colors so it might be hard to make sure they are spot on. I might just give up on buying bright matte colors after this, lol.

Beauty Buys: Makeup Revolution

I am pleased to inform you of this haul because I know I can't WAIT to try this product out! This brand has been popping out in my blog feeds that it gets me curious to see what they offer. Of course, being a self-claimed palette hoarder, I couldn't help myself and check out what their eyeshadow palettes has to offer.

I bought their Focus & Fix Eye Primer and their eyeshadow palettes in Iconic 3 and Matte Brights, a lot of comparisons have been made that Iconic 3 is a dupe for Urban Decay's famous Naked 3 palette, I find the colors are quite wearable for day-to-day makeup better than the other Naked palette lines so I asked my friend to help order this.

The Matte Brights reminds me one of the Sleek palette with the bright colors. Although I know I might not use this palette a lot but I do want exciting colors in my collection as well, this bright colors could go well as eyelining powders.

Beauty Spotlight: Essence Get BIG Lashes Mascaras

I never really review mascara, only because I really don't know how to structure a mascara review as you need a macro-like pictures of your eyelashes to let the readers know how the mascaras affects your eyelashes, so I decided to open a new segment so I won't have to feel guilty buying mascaras or any other products and not reviewing them! LOL

This is a bunch of mascaras that I actually really put some love in! If you're like me, who loves natural-looking volumized lashes then this is for you, I hardly curl my lashes and don't even bother to at times. Although these mascaras aren't curling mascaras, I love these because they do my lashes as how I like them to be. Although for functions, you might have to coat them a few times.

My favorite would be the black one just because it isn't waterproof so easier removal! Repurchase? I would!

Make-up Review: Maybelline Super Stay 10Hr Tint Gloss in Lasting Pink

I have a backlogs of reviews to give you girls and I'm still sifting through trying to make sure that I don't post too much Essence reviews in one go, I just love Essence to bits, don't judge. LOL! So anyways, this is a brand that I would hardly go for when it comes to purchasing, usually my go-to brands are Essence, Catrice or Revlon.

I bought this from UK, with the help of a friend. I'm not sure if this exact product is still available though because I never really see any reviews of this said products from the beauty bloggers that I follow. This product is almost like a liquid lipstick except the texture is quite thin.

I'm not sure if this is incorrectly labelled or not, because this tint gloss is actually not in any terms has the hint of the color pink in it. It is a bright red on me, I do love to pair this with subtle makeup and glasses as I can't seem to pull this off if I'm wearing lenses unless I have a full-on makeup. As it is a tint, the color can last 5 hours on me although by the 2nd hour the gloss would have been gone.

I do find the scent to be funny, it smells like a strawberry-flavored soda, but nevertheless I still love wearing this when I dare to. LOL.

Make-up Review: Essence Lip Lacquer in 01 Queen Of My Cloud Castle

I can't seem to find the time to actually write up posts now that I'm handling a few endeavors all by myself, I did have this notion of wanting to close of the blog but my passion for makeup is still here, it's just that my passion to blog is being put in the backburner or should I say, currently I am having a writer's block?

So anyways, my favorite brand, I know I need to diversify my makeup journey but I somehow took a liking on all the stuffs that Essence has to offer, the only things that doesn't work for me is just their primer and face powder.

Anyways, this is from their Limited Edition Fantasia line, I'm not sure if it's still available in Paloma, but I don't think so, unless you were able to find it on their clearance bins.

I usually assume any lip lacquers to be very opaque and very matte, but not this product, it is more of of a gloss, a very pigmented gloss even though the color is quite on the light side. The texture is quite sticky but that won't be a problem with me. It lasts at least 2 hours on me before I need to retouch, but yehh, that's the usual amount of time of any lipglosses on me.

I do like this lacquer and more often than not, I usually use this alone because this is fantastic on days you don't feel like wearing a few coats of lip liners, lipsticks and lipglosses. This does not bleed onto your chin etc. This stays put until it fades, though this does not stain as it is of light color.
