Skincare Review: Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Polish

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

This will be a short review as it's basically a first impression of a brand that I recently got to try, Soap and Glory. Nisa and Angela has been raving about this in one of our chat session and since I was in KK Imago Sephora and found a travel-size of this item near a cashier for I think RM33? It's a bit expensive for a travel-sized body scrub but I was there for a shopping spree, why the heck not.

Sorry for the blurred shot, I didn't realize it because I was batch editing it and when I found out, I already put the scrub in the bathroom.

This stuff contains shea butter, peach seed and sea salt which is good for your skin. It tastes salty and soapy so don't try to eat it! LOL, yes I did taste it, but that will be the first and last time, only because it smells amazing, I wish there's a perfume version of this scent.

When I scrub, I usually like to scrub my whole body, I scrub once a week, with this 50ml, I manage to use up 1/2 of the product for my whole body and kinda sad about it as I don't have an easy access to repurchase this, but I really love how abrasive it is. some says it's too gentle but I find it abrasive and the sea salt really help scrubs off any dead skin that might reside, leaving behind not a raw, scrubbed-off skin but a very moisturized and soft supple skin, I think with the help of shea butter.

Will I repurchase? Yes but only for a once in a while thing, because this stuff is expensive and I usually buy the Indonesian brands that costs me less than $5

Beauty Buys: Memories for KK Raya Trip

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I went and had a holiday trip to KK a few weeks back, on the first day of Raya if I want to be more precise, we went there for 9 days just to get away from the Raya Aidilfitri celebration. I know it's weird but it is kinda refreshing tho not celebrating Raya and just have a relaxing shopping holiday. At first, the plan was to go to KL and Singapore, but due to some complications, we went to KK instead.

I spent a lot on shopping for makeups and apparels, I'm not posting my haul on the apparels I bought cuz let's face it, I'm too lazy to post about fashion, lol! So anyways, I went to Sephora, Bath & Body Works and Daiso for this haul.

Don't get me started on Daiso, I am pretty much in love with Daiso ever since I step foot into it, I bought a lot of stuffs there and am only posting the beauty-related stuff that I bought, I went there almost everyday of my trip!

Daiso Focus Gel Eyeliner in Lame Black- I think this is the only makeup item I bought for this haul, I'm still doing trials on this product so keep a lookout on the review.

Daiso Cleansing Water - I haven't try out that much micellar water yet, due to the lack of resources, why Brunei, why. However, I'm just going to give this a mini review since I know I won't be able to round up an in-depth review of some of the products that I hauled. So, I think you can pass cleansing water, you won't be missing out on anything, it's not that impressive, it does remove 70% of your makeup but it doesn't effectively remove waterproof mascaras. Also, I expect cleansing water to have no alcohol ingredient whatsoever, but this does and somehow it broke me out, ggrr. So now am using this to remove all my hand swatches and makeup residues from my hands whenever I apply makeup.

Daiso Detergent for Puff and Sponge - Nisa introduced me to this detergent and I'm glad that I bought this and I'm disappointed in myself of not buying a few more of this, cuz this is such an awesome brush and sponge cleaner, I usually clean my brushes with shampoos but I always never seem to be able to remove the brown stains by foundations from the brush and when I used this, AWESOME! I'd definitely will ask my friend to buy this for me!

Daiso Hand Cream in Rose -  I love rose scents and I forgot to bring my hand cream along, so this somehow is a nice and cheap thing to try, I think it's more moisturizing than my GVC hand cream! Also, it smells AWESOME!

Daiso Fragrance Body Mist with Hyaluronic Acid in Peach - This is a repurchase for me, I really love this scent for a little pick-me-up, I didn't just repurchase 1 bottle, I went ahead and bought 4 bottles, that's how much in love I am with this body mist!

Daiso Silicone Pot Mat - Nisa, again, recommended me to buy this piece of silicone mat found in the kitchen section of Daiso. I loved it, it really helps to clean the brush along with the detergent, it's a perfect combination!

I was a bit overwhelmed by the Bath & Body Works store, I really didn't know what to choose and what to buy, so I decided that I'll just go on ahead and try out their anti-bacterial hand gels in Fresh Lavender, Paris Amour and Lush Bamboo Waterfall, they smell amazing from the testers that they have, I haven't opened them up because I'm trying to finish up my current hand gel from Simphor Pharma Skincare, which is a local skincare brand, if that's appropriate because so far I only see them selling the hand gels, but hopefully they'll branch out to other skincare items, I am all about supporting local brands.

I went to Sephora as well, my god, if only I don't have a time limit to shopping, I'd definitely indulge myself to a little one-on-one with every brand booth they have. LOL. But anyways, I came with a wishlist. I bought some stuffs on my wishlist and some are just on impulse.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation Gel in Dark Beige - I bought this at a Watson, I think, in Suria shopping complex, I really love this! So lightweight, review coming up soon.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Makeup Foundation in 2W2 Rattan - This is my first Estee Lauder product, it's not the most expensive makeup I've ever bought, its basically RM153 or BND55 (currency rate I used is RM2.75) I'm still on the fence whether I really like this foundation or is it just a so-so but however review will come up soon.

Sephora Teint Infusion Foundation in 25 Beige - Bought another foundation to review, I have the other foundation, the Brightening and Hydrating teint, I wasn't disappointed with it so I decided to just go on ahead with the purchase.

Tarte How Sweet It is Deluxe Lip and Cheek Set - I am in love with Tarte as a brand, although I don't have a lot of products from them but I really do adore their packaging, I still however find their items to be a little expensive, I love their blushes but I just can't get myself around to buy with a BND40-something a pop, so I decided to buy the sample set, only because I really want a Tarte blush. Review will come soon!

Stila Smudge Pot in Black - This is an impulse purchase as I really didn't imagine myself buying this, but I was desperate to find a nice and exceptional gel eyeliners, hence the impulse purchase, I did however compare this with one of the MUFE gel eyeliners and decided that Stila's smudge pot is more pigmented than MUFE's

NYX Tinted Brow Mascara in Espresso - I am always on a lookout for brow products and I think brow mascaras are easier to use for barely there makeups or on days which you don't want to wear makeup that much but still want to make an effort. I do wanna try lighter colors of this in hopes that it'll be able lighten my brows a little and fill them up with lighter brow products.

Soap and Glory Flake Away Body Scrub - Everybody always raves about Soap and Glory, I wasn't really interested in this brand but Nisa and Angela actually mentioned about how they really like this product, I saw this near the cashier, a nice deluxe sample and I was like, it won't hurt to try a sample size but usually I liked to purchase a big tub because I run out of body scrubs so easily, but review will come soon InshaAllah.

So that's it for my haul, which product do you want me to review first? :)

Make-up Review: Makeup Academy Pro-Base Argan Plush Concealers

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Back with another review for the concealers I bought from MUA. MUA and I, we go long back, they're basically the first brand that I bought internationally before I dare to buy other makeup brand, I always go back to their website because seriously, good quality makeup for good price is not something I usually pass.

This is their new concealers from their Pro Base range, I seriously can't remember how much I bought them for but it should be less than BND8! Yepp, they're that cheap.

You know what I had in mind when I ordered this, this would be perfect for cream contouring since they are creamy concealers and I thought the 2 shades I chose were basically lighter/darker than my skintone. I bought the shades Natural and Almond, Almond being the beige shade while Natural is a straight up a few shades lighter than my skintone.

Almost is basically a little bit more yellow-toned than I would have like, still a color that matches me for which, I used this to hide my blemishes., but I was able to make it work by setting it with a normal powder instead of translucent product. From the color that the online catalog showed, it seems to be a bit darker and I wanted to use this as a contour cream stick but unfortunately no.

Natural, however, has a lighter neutral tone and this is perfect for concealing my dark circles and under eye puffiness, also perfect for that non-shimmery highlighting.

Both this product has a very creamy and slippery at the same time, so this product does need a little bit of setting powder, once set this doesn't budge until your foundation starts to break up, so if you have a long-wearing foundation that works for you, this will perform as well as your foundation. I like that they are retractable but I really hate that since they are so creamy, the product is bound to fall of if you open it upside down. I've done this so many times that I almost give up on using this, sometimes.

They do mention that they contain argan oil which has amazing moisturizing properties, so this does not dry out the skin to where you apply this to, also may have been one of the major contributors of why it is so creamy and slippery.

Skincare Review : Good Virtues Co Glowing & Goodness Brightening Day Cream

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I'm going to introduce you to an almost perfect moisturizer-slash-primer from the Good Virtues Co skincare range. I actually was able to obtain all but one from the skincare range which is their CC cream, I'm still on the fence on purchasing their CC cream as Nisah from thebeautyandfrogs is kind enough to give me a small sample of her CC cream. I find them to be very slippery.

But let's move on to the review for this day cream, shall we?

Let's just stop for a moment and indulge into how beautiful their packaging is, I think at the price point their selling, I bought it at a promotional price $7.90, I haven't went to the nearest Hua Ho to see the price different but I'd assume that it won't be so far off from the promotional price.

As you can see, it comes in a pump bottle form which I like but I really hate the overall packaging as this will be a pain to open up if I want to scoop up the leftovers when it's finished.

It's a lightweight cream when applied, it feels like your face is drinking up the cream, I just don't know how to  explain it but this here is perfect for normal to oily skin. I'm not sure if dry skin would be able to use it because to me this product is hydrating but not too hydrating at the same time. Sensitive skin would also be able to use this, inshaAllah, as there's no harmful ingredients and all products are infused with black seed oil or "habbatus sauda". You do find a note of the habbatus sauda in there with a nice floral powdery scent in there as well, it's not overpowering, it really is a pleasant scent.

I used this as a moisturizing primer for my foundations that has no SPF since this contains SPF30, in terms of longevity I did wear this from 8AM to 11PM every single day during my stint as a promoter for the ASEAN Consumer Fair, I do like the fact that I didn't get oily, I hardly need a touch up when wearing this over my makeup, it really is a very great moisturizer. Although by around 8PM-ish, I did start to get a little bit shiny but not greasy just a little glow showing up on my T-Zone, this says so much because although I am currently have normal-combination skin, I do get a little oily after 7-8 hours. Even without setting my makeup (you do need to make sure that your makeup is not the type to slide off) this helps make sure my makeup is going to stay put for a very long time.

Albeit the great performance of increasing my makeup longevity, if your face do sweat, i.e. you're out and about but not in an air-conditioned environment, it does cut off a few hours of the longevity, so I usually suggest to use this when you know you are going to be in air-conditioned environment the whole day.

On another note, this does brighten my dull skin after a prolong use, however, this day cream is basically for brightening, it does not help any breakouts you might already have, it doesn't calm any raging pimples, but I know for sure that it is good enough not to make your scarring worse than it usually is.

This is pretty much a repurchase for me, although I won't use this for when I know that I'll stay at home because I still have my Rosken serum to go through.

Beauty Buys : 3 days straight!

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I was a part-timer promoting for a company that promotes and markets a few brands such as Nandos, Bad Lab and Good Virtues Co. They were promoting those brands at the ASEAN Consumer Fair 2015. I was there to also promote and help sell the products. Promoting their products for hours and hours, really lures me in to try out their product, unfortunately even I as promoter, I can't get them for free but I did get a hand lotion that really smells nice!

Also, I did get some bargain with the Holika Holika and Clio products and got them for a fraction of the price that they usually sell. And, the brushes, I bought them from Paloma, I was in need of new brushes but poo, I hated the blush brush it was so not what I expected!

What I bought:
1. Good Virtues Co Brightening Day Cream
2. Good Virtues Co Brightening Facial Cleanser
3. Good Virtues Co Make-up Remover
4. Good Virtues Co Brightening Facial Toner
5. Good Virtues Co Brightening Cream
6. Holika Holika Cream Shadow & Petite Liner
7. Clio Kill Black Waterproof Brush Liner
8. Clio Gelpresso
9. Satine Blush Brush
10. Cosmetica Eyeshadow Blending Brush

Make-up Review: Makeup Academy Intense Kisses Lip Gloss in Sealed with a Kiss

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

MUA's Intense Kisses Lip Gloss is a much loved product for me but I never get on to actually review the first two, sorry, my bad! But no worries, my thoughts on these lip glosses is similar as this is something I'd definitely go back and buy more color of unless I can find something better, the Power Pout Acrylic does seem to interest me somehow.

The lip gloss comes in a small but a bit chunky packaging, it's easy to tell apart the colors you own. I chose the shade "Sealed with a Kiss" because honestly, you can never have too much nude but in this case, I do have too little nudes in my collection since I'm all about neutral and darker pinks.

I like the fact that the texture wasn't sticky or thick, it's very much comfortable on my lips and they apply very smoothly on my lips, I do find that this is not as pigmented as the other 2 lipglosses for the same range but all the same have good pigmentation. This lipgloss will definitely lighten up any lipsticks I put below this.

When used with a nude lipstick underneath, it definitely will help enhance the nude-ness of the lipstick, the lipgloss will be able to stand for 3 hours before it fades, I don't mind applying this as well. This is a great product that I'd definitely repurchase if I ever get around to order from MUA.

Make-up Review: Clio Lipnicure in Shocking Pink

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Another makeup review with a Korean brand called Clio, this is my first product from this brand albeit I do have a curiosity in their eye products especially their gel liners but never got around to purchasing them and try them out.

I bought this lip product from Lipnicure, not just because of the cute packaging, just like a nail polish. But because of the durability of this lip product, I was swatching these lipnicures at my nearest Guardian and I was just checking out their pigmentation, they are as you can see very pigmented and when I swatched them, I usually let them set on my hand and then while I'm out and about, try to remove these swatches. I can tell you this, THEY DO NOT BUDGE AT ALL!

Let me indulge more on the review later on. but look at the applicator, it's doe-shaped applicator with a concave on the other side. I feel this shape is weird applying the product but nonetheless, not that difficult, I still can maneuver the applicator with no feathering and uneven applications.

As you can see from the swatch, it is a very nude but bright coral, I seriously don't know how to explain this color, although it says it is Shocking Pink but it leans more coral than pink.

It applies matte, as you know in the beauty world, people are now crazy for matte liquid lipstick. However the texture of this product is quite tacky, there's little transfer but it is so tacky that it feels uncomfortable to wear it out, also, you should scrub your lips before application as it really clings to your dry areas and it does not look good if you have dry lips, so smooth lips is the way to go.

This stuff can be drying so what I like to do is apply a lipbalm like a sandwich i.e. using lipbalm underneath and above the lip product, kinda defeats the purpose of getting a matte lip but somehow that's the only for me to make this product work. I wished I bought a darker color than this one as I can't seem to find the life in me to use this as often as I would. A repurchase? I would, if they could remove that overwhelming floral musk scent. I swear I could inhale and taste the scent.

Make-up Review: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Ebony

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I've finally bought the most famous brow product that took the world by the horn, well not literally. I have very black brow hairs, so I decided to choose the color Ebony instead of the lighter colors as with my tanned skin, my face does not suit any lighter colors than dark brown to the darkest of brown and black.

The packaging itself does feel expensive with a glass jar, worth the $34 price tag I bought for this and I bought this from an Instagram online seller as I just couldn't be bother to pay for this product for USD30 plus a shipping fee of USD18 which in turn will cost me USD48 or around B$60, so I did save a lot of money given that I'm not really into a shopping spree for Anastasia Beverly Hills.

As you can see the shade that I got, Ebony, is not that black, it is still consider a dark brown color, the darkest of dark brown. It's neither warm nor cool it really matches with my skintone.

This product is very suitable for any look regardless for the barely there makeup to a natural day-to-day look or even a dramatic look. The product itself is creamy and easy to glide on and under your eyebrow if that makes sense, it really depends on the pressure of your eyebrow brush, whether you want to have statement eyebrows or just soft and natural look to your brows. I use this almost everyday as I can control how my eyebrow looked like, I have a sparse part at the midsection of my left brow, so with this pomade, it is pigmented enough to fill in the area.

I love the fact that, not only it'll last long, it's smudgeproof and almost-waterproof, this one, I can see myself buying again and again.

Beauty Spotlight: Jessup Kabuki Brushes

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So hey, this is supposed to be another haul post but I decided to just give you guys a short review on this brush set. I've seen these Jessup brushes floating around in Facebook, an online shop was selling it for $40 something. I was tempted at first, but I thought, let's check on eBay, well, I could say it is pretty much cheaper than the online seller is selling and I'd feel ripped off if I were to order these from them. NOT THAT I don't support local sellers but if it is something obtainable by me, then why not.

These Jessup brushes are basically dupes from different brands that are selling these types of brush sets, I know it's a dupe for Sigma's kabuki set and also I found BHCosmestic selling the kabuki brushes set. It isn't so dissimilar from other Chinese makeup brush dupes floating around eBay.

But what really intrigues that these Jessup brushes, when googled, there's some reviews available by trusted bloggers, so this is something that attracts me to purchase these brushes. And with the competitive prices being sold only, of course I decided to click the Add to Cart button. They have different colors and

When I received these brushes, I am so over the moon of how soft their bristles are. Although I was a bit concerned with their softer-than-soft bristles of how they are able to perform when applying products on my face. But not to worry, they apply and blends smoothly, you feel like you're massaging your face so lightly, I've tried most of the brushes using liquid and powders.

I do really love to use the eye kabuki brush to apply and blend my concealers, although I didn't try the face brushes to apply contour, but I assume with a large diameter, I don't think I'd be able to as my contouring skill is just so-so. There's no fall out and they wash and dry well. So overall, for a brush set less than $20, I think this is worth the money! I am also thinking of buying other makeup brush set that Jessup has to offer! This brand is also perfect for starting up your professional kit if you can't afford Sigma or any other professional brush brands.

Beauty Buys: Makeup Revolution

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

And here we are again with yet another haul, but this time the brand is Makeup Revolution, I bought the different palettes that they offered and you guys know I am a palette junkie. I bought 2 of their eyeshadow, Iconic Dreams and Salvation Run Boy Run Palette. A blush and also a contour palette, along with their concealing palette.

Although I did buy a blush palette from this brand, I just can't pass on the chance on trying out their single blushes as some of the colors are quite unique and not yet in my collection.

Overall, most of the makeup I've tried are just awesome! Although the intense lacquer has a good performance, too bad the color is way too cool for my skintone but I did try to make it work.

And, no, I did not buy all of these, the second picture, the ones with the lip glosses and the go palettes are FREE GIFTS! I couldn't believe my eyes when I received my parcel, I almost thought that they sent out the wrong parcel to me! You won't be seeing any reviews of the free gifts, unfortunately, because I decided to give it away to my friends as I find the free gifts to overwhelm me so much. As I received the parcel and found out they were free gifts, I was like, OH NO! When will I ever get around to test out the free gifts? Hence, I gave all of them away!

But my oh my, the Chocolate Shimmer Bronzer Powder was SOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL! And it has a very big compact, even bigger than my Essence bronzer, I was contemplating to keep it for myself but since am not a big fan of using bronzers, why bother. LOL!

I do realize most of my posts these days gears towards showing my beauty hauls, I did buy a LOT! So, sorry if I can't get the reviews on time, I did prepare the posts but I just need more time to test all of them. Too many makeups, just one me! ;)

Beauty Buys and Make-up Review: Makeup Academy

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

It's been a long time that I haven't purchase from Makeup Academy, there hasn't been many shout-outs from this brand ever since Makeup Revolution came into the scene and with this, I'll just put a disclaimer that it seems that Makeup Academy and Makeup Revolution are not sister brands. I do found that the products from Makeup Revolution are of more quality than Makeup Academy. But enough about that, here's a picture of the haul that I've made from Makeup Academy a few weeks ago.

I do need to stop hauling makeups, I bought more than I realized in just one month! So it's kinda straining my makeup reviews that I'm trying to line up on my blog.

Anyways, I bought pairs of the £1 lipsticks and blushes as I've actually felt that I need to try these out! I've been raving about this brand so much, it's so weird that I never bought their cheapest products! I'll get on with the reviews soon! I still have so much products to review, I've been such a bad girl!

But no worries, I'm sneaking in a mini review of these makeup brushes I bought from this brand, I basically bought their F9 and F2 face brushes and also their E3 eye brush. All of their brushes are synthetic and I really love the overall quality of these brushes as they really have soft bristles and no fall outs either.

F2 Stippling Face Brush

So this brush is said to give our face an airbrushed look by stippling in the foundation but what I do find is that it is taking a lot of work to achieve that and I usually give up and use other dense stippling brush to do my work but I'm not giving up on this brush, this is perfect for stippling in liquid or cream blush, or even highlighters, so I basically use this for those purpose only. But for stippling in foundation, I'll stick to Masumi Shouko's dense face brush

F9 Flat Top Buffer Brush

This is an interesting brush as I've never encountered this type of brush but this is perfect for applying contour or bronzer on your cheeks, I haven't try these with other base product but I've only used it with contouring and it really helps me with my contouring game. So this is a definite must-try for any contouring newbies!

E3 Eyeshadow Blending Brush

This is a lovely addition to my brush collection as I still have a little collection of eyebrushes, I hardly collect eyeshadow brushes even though I like to use them more than using other makeups because for any of my eyeshadow makeup routine, I always seem to find myself using my fingers as a tool for applying eyeshadows, but this is really lovely as it blends eyeshadow nicely.

Want-it Wishlist: I Heart Makeup Chocolate Palettes

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Just another wishlist post and this time from a affordable UK brand, which is Makeup Revolution's sister brand since they were sold in the same website. At first, I didn't give heed on their new releases of the chocolate palette that are supposedly a dupe for the Too Faced chocolate palette but as soon as they released the Naked Chocolate, which is basically the white chocolate palette. There's 2 of the "chocolate" chocolate palette, but I rather choose the I Heart Chocolate palette than the Death by Chocolate Palette cuz this one has more colors in it than the latter which is more neutral.

The Naked Chocolate palette though, is a neutral palette heaven! I definitely know that these won't have the chocolate scent like Too Faced ones but I can't help but lemming to collect these two palettes just because they look like chocolates!

Make-up Review: Benefit's You go, Gals Sample Kit

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Another review with a brand that only come across my blog for only once, to me, the brand benefit is quite on the expensive side. Although I've seen a lot of good reviews about this brand, does not mean that I am impressed unless I try it out myself. So, in Jakarta, I checked out their Sephora and bought the face sample kit.

So, I'm going to basically give a short and somewhat quick reviews of these samples as I only receive 3 tiny tubes

"That Gal" Face Primer

This is a pink-tone primer with a little shimmer running through the creamy texture, it applies like a lotion, it sits above your skin without feeling heavy and such, for my light-medium skin, this is quite an invitation to my makeup collection as I find it brightens my complexion without making my face too in-your-face glittery.

Although it doesn't fill in the pores, it does held up well without touching up, I can get away 4 hours without setting it with powder.

"Porefessional" Primer

This is a nude silicon cream that fills the pore, it really works well to blur out any fine lines and pores, I am amaze with this product, it holds my makeup much better than That Gal primer, it can handle 8 hours of makeup without fading my foundation, much impressed, I might buy the full version every now and then as I find this quite expensive. Although, I still love my Holika Holika Silky Veil Primer.

"Girl Meets Pearl" Highlighter

This is a pearly, golden pink highlighter, I really love this and I am addicted to this highlighter, I am lucky that I find out that with my skintone, I can match any highlighter tones. Golden, warm, pink, cool or neutral, my skin can handle it! I wish it does the same with lipstick :(

So anyways, I really love to use this mainly above my cheeks and the bridge of my nose for that effortless sculpted nose.

Out of the 3 samples, I'd definitely repurchase Porefessional Primer.

Make-up Review: Silkygirl Magic BB Water Gel in 02 Radiant

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Apart from the pencil lipbalm, I decided to try a few of their products as well including this. So what I am expect from this BB Gel is that it provides sunscreen and moisture, it is easy to wash off and it fits my skintone perfectly. I know there's a lot of Korean BB Cream out there. My favorite currently is Missha's Perfect Cover BB Cream but it is usually heavy so it was kinda hard to wash off with just a cleanser.

I know I should use a make-up remover than just a normal cleanser, but I don't really have the luxury to bring all my makeup removal routine to school. So this product is a great alternative for what you can say a tinted moisturizer.

Sorry for the blurry pic but you can see the color of the swatch clearly, the color is of a light-medium beige with a yellow tone, as you can see it is a little light, but when I applied it to my skin, the yellow tone of the cream helped it adjust to my skintone if that even made sense.

Texture-wise, it is a watery gel and it blends out nicely like a moisturizer would do. This gel is not perfect for dry skin because it clings to dry patches. Overall, when you wear this out it would feel lightweight and soft, it dries down to a matte finish. The lasting power is what I expected it to be, it starts to get oily on the 4th hour. Although the lasting power is minimal, this is pretty much suited for me to use and wear it in school as I would be able to wash this off very easily.

This might not be or might be a repurchase for me, depends on whether I can find something better than this.

Beauty Buys: Much love from Jakarta

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I went to Jakarta for a so-called school trip, I joined a competition. I didn't expect to shop as I assumed I won't be able to have as much time as I was given a packed schedule to begin with. But it turns out, I was able to free up so much more time to shop and explore a little bit of Jakarta. Though one of my biggest regret while in Jakarta is to not research any place that is worthwhile visiting other than shopping malls.

So here's the haul that I've bought during the whole trip while I was in Jakarta, believe me, I was very reserved and controlled during this trip as I don't really want to think about all the luggage that I have to bring.

New Look contact lenses - These were cheap quarterly colored contact lenses, I wish I bought more as they are around give or take $8-9 , I tried the one in Playful and it is very comfortable as well! I hope to go to Jakarta again soon to stock up on these as they were quite cheap!

Ardell duo eyebrow brush - This has been in my wishlist for sooo long, well, any duo brushes that has a spoolie and eyebrow liner brush as this is very useful for our eyebrow routine ;)

Masami Shouko 320 Round Synthetic Brush - This is a brush brand that I find to be only selling in Indonesia although it has a Japanese name, I am going to assume this is an Indonesian brand. It sells synthetic brushes for a very affordable price and I bought this for $8-9ish? If I were to know more about their quality, I could have bought more from they line. I'd definitely want to see how their eye brushes are as I find it much more affordable at around $4-5. But.. I didn't buy any :(

Bioderma Micellar Solution - I bought 2 sets of this, it is quite affordable for the price at $21, if only there is no limited budget or baggage, I'd haul more! These are my go-to cleansers for heavy makeups as they clean up so nicely.

Sephora Brightening & Hydrating Foundation - I'm not sure why I bought this as I don't need more foundation, well I just throw out some foundations and BB creams that are more than 3 years old, so I'm pretty much replacing them with this. I will review this as soon as I can wear this out more.

Benefit Cosmetics Set in You go, gals & Feeling Cheeky - Benefit might be one of the most famous brand in the beauty world, they are by no means cheap, so I don't want to be disappointed so instead, I just bought those mini-sets to try out some of their products including the famous porefessional primer. I am also impressed by Benetint, although the texture and color payoff is the same as other red tints available, it has a powdery smell that I really love.

I'll try to post up as much reviews as I can with all the new pictures I've just prepared.

Make-up Review: Silkygirl Moisture Boost Lipcolor Balm in Latte

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So, found out that Silkygirl finally jumps into the pencil balm bandwagon, I went to their stand a couple of times, undecided whether to buy or not. Since they are affordable, then why not? They have 6 shades, I guess? But I chose the shade Latte as I think I've bought too much bright lip shade these few months. So transitioning to a neutral nude color is a nice change of pace to my obsession with purple/wine lip colors although the line actually produces a wine lip color, but I'll buy that soon.

So they are basically the usually twist up pencil lipbalm you see in other brands such as Revlon, Clinique, Tarte and some others. I really love the black packaging though, it looks so chic to me and you would be able to know the

The color that I can describe her is a pinky-beige nude. The color is nude enough but still has that pink tone to not make my lips look like I applied a concealer on it. The color is a little sheer and the texture is very creamy but at first swipe but you can layer it on, to be more pigmented.

The color lasts about 2-3 hours before it disappears but I don't have any problem with that as this is a dream to apply. There's nothing extraordinary about these balms, it's just your normal pencil lip balm. Although, if you want to compare this to Catrice's pencil lip balm, I do prefer Silkygirl's as these are much more moisturizing.

Make-up Review: NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder in Black/Grey

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I may be on a roll here by posting up more reviews than I'd ever imagine in a month, lol. I have a few weeks to my exams, since we're basically on a holiday, my mind is also on holiday. Oh, well. I do my brows everyday, almost everyday. So finding a good brow product is quite important for me and I am still looking for the best eyebrow product and brush for the perfect or au naturel look. LOL.

The thing about me is when choosing my eyebrow products, I'd like it if the color of those eyebrow pencils, powders or crayons to be almost the same as my eyebrow hair color which is basically black, I love to make bold eyebrow looks as it fits my overall makeup. Hence the color chosen.

It does seem scary at first, the colors, but I somehow really love it. Because the colors fits what I want in my eyebrow look.

Both powders are pigmented on their own, if I want to do a full on makeup, I usually use the black powder to create the shape of my eyebrows and fill it in with the grey powder. If I want a natural day-to-day look, I just basically use the grey powder all over. Either way both colors are very versatile on their own. It is easily blended so you can brush off the sharp lines. The wax is somewhat so-so, it does keep your eyebrow in place and set it. I don't really use the wax all that much.

All in all, this is a good product to have and it lasts long too, around 6-7 hours before it starts fading. This is something that I might repurchase if there is no other that does well. Next eyebrow product that I'll review, inshaAllah will be the Ardell duo eyebrow brush and Anastasia Beverly Hill famous Dipbrow Pomade!
