Want-it Wishlist: Skin79 Bronze BB Cream

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

There's this one product on my wishlist that really bugs me which is the Skin79 Bronze BB Cream. BB Creams are hard to match up with your skintone, as much as I love BB Creams, I'd usually add a darker foundation that I bought from Essence to mix with my BB Creams so they'd match up to my skintone, they're just too LIGHT!

My dream of a BB Cream is to have a shade that is just so matched up to my skintone that I don't ever need to add with dark foundations cuz it is tiring and quite heavy for day-to-day activities. Although I embrace my bare-face, but sometimes my skin is not at its best state that I do need a little pick-me-up.

This is the new release from Skin79, I swatched it a few weeks ago and it is somehow the type of color that would suit my skin. The only drawbacks of this product is that:

HARDLY ANY REVIEWS FROM YOUTUBE/BLOGS THAT ARE UNDERSTANDABLE

NO CHEAPER PRICE FROM EBAY

NO SAMPLES FROM LOCAL STORE

I checked Skin79 store at The Mall, it only has the 40g, well that was a few weeks ago, I'm not sure if they do have any 5g tube or 15g bottles. But either way, I'd really love to have a try with this because, now that I'm tanned from joining the National Day's marching, it's actually a good reason for me to use those darker foundations that's been sitting on my dresser, but then, I want a lighter texture for daily use, this might be it.

Make-up Review: Sleek Contour Palette in Medium

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I am a noob when it comes to contouring, I hardly contour my face because let's face it, I'm a hijabi, I contour my face shape with my scarves! Yes, you can do that with your scarves. Hehehe, JK! But anyways, even if I do contour, I usually make sure it's for any events that I have chances of getting photographed. Especially going to my friends' wedding/engagement events.

I bought this yonks ago, to just only receive it last year's September. I was thinking of getting the Light one, but somehow the contour color seems so.. "light" for my skintone, so I decided to stick with Medium by checking out other blog reviews.

I do love this genius of a product! Because the color does not look muddy on me neither does it look orange. Although my face contouring skill sucks, I do have a nice nose contouring skill and the color really looks good on me giving shadows on my face in turn making my nose looks like I just sculpted it. LOL!

The highlighting part of the palette is seriously such a lovely color! I can never seem to get enough of using the color, it really look lovely when placed on my browbone and the highest point of cheekbones because it gives me subtle glows that I really love. The color is a shimmery beige, I do love to find any eyeshadows that matches this color because I'd use this everyday for a pop of neutral shimmer.

Both powders are creamy to touch and easy to blend, I'd love to repurchase this, hopefully I can find someplace that sells this when I've hit pan, because I really love to use this almost everyday!

Beauty Bought: Collective over the months

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I haven't been naughty as this is actually my haul for the span of 3 months? I was so hung up with other stuffs to even remember about shopping for makeup, I do hauled a lot of hijab shawls and blouse/dresses for my upcoming semester. But I'm too lazy to even take pictures of it. LOL!

Three of them are basically repurchase, which is the Essence's I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base, Rosken's Bio Serum and Garnier's Whitening Face Scrub. Let me dwell on these 3 repurchases before I go on to other pruchases.

Rosken's Bio Serum - I really love this face oil as somehow I see changes within my skin. Though it doesn't really help with most of my acne scars but it helps not to have those dark scars mark. Eversince using this as my moisturizer, my skin has hardly become so oily anymore, therefore making my skin hover onto the normal-type.

Essence I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base - It is my favorite eyeshadow base of all! I actually finished this whole tube. It lasts me more than a year, so for $4.90 a year, it does save a lot of your money! I do love MUA's Eyeshadow Primer to, although cheap, it is such a hassle to buy stuffs online.

Garnier's Whitening Face Scrub - It is merely because I need a new face scrub to brighten my skin.

Okay for other purchase, I do need a thorough review, especially with Eden's Rosa T Oil. One of the nail polish is a gift from my dear friend, I do love the color he chose though! I'll review the make-up remover from Silkygirl soon enough!

Make-up Review: Catrice Multi-Colour Blush in Strawberry Frappucino

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

This post has been sitting here for a few months now. This product was supposed to be something that I give for a swap, unfortunately (or fortunately) the swap was cancelled. Some of the product, I sold it to a beauty lover. I haven't tried a lot of products from Catrice. So this is a good reason to try.

I am really intrigued with the multi-colour blush as I'd really love to see how it would turn out on my skin. I really love the texture and the design of this blush. It's creamy to touch and is very pigmented as well when you swatch it.

When you swirl all the products together, the blush is such a lovely baby pink. This is where it gets harder, since I am more medium-toned, the color doesn't show up a lot on me. There is color, but it would take more effort from my brush to pick up the product. I can only pick up more colors when I use a dense blush brush than using a fluffy blush brush.

I was very disappointed with this product as I actually dislike Catrice's blushes due to its performance on my medium-toned skin. Though this blush can stand for about 4-5 hours on my cheek. But you know what, after a much effort from me trying to love this product. I actually love it as my setting powder!

Kinda weird but when I use this as an all-over powder, it goes on translucent. So I guess it's not bad at all, I mean I could use more setting powders as well. This as a setting powder works for at least 3 hours before oiliness comes. But oh well, this is not going to my repurchase list.

Makeup Review: 17 Super Fine Foundation Powder in Light Beige

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I'm not big into buying foundation powders or setting powders just because I bought a lot of backup for my Silkygirl's foundation powder on which I use as a setting powder or a foundation powder when I don't have the time to use liquid foundation.

This is one of my favorite foundation to use when I'm in a hurry. Although it is kinda lighter than my skintone, I was able to blend it to my skin to make sure the lighter tone doesn't affect my makeup. It has 2 compartments, one for the sponge and one for the powder with mirror.

The powder itself is just creamy to touch. It blends well into your skin. Although it only gives a light/medium coverage, just enough to even out your skintone. Because I don't expect foundation powder to have high coverage, so I think this product went well with me.

As far as I can tell, I do need to retouch after 3 hours, before it gets a little oily. Just to remind you girls, my skintype has changed to normal these days, especially on my T-zone. This would be a lovely thing to repurchase but it is a UK brand, so you can only get it through online. I'd love to buy this in a darker shade.

Make-up Review: Essence Moisturizing UV Base

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I was pretty excited when Paloma decides to bring out more of the Essence products as they are famous for their good quality product for a budget price. Looking for a makeup base with SPF can be expensive as sometimes I need it to use with my foundation that has the exact shade of my skin that has no SPF. Such a bother eh?

I bought this with an intention of wanting to have a sunblock/primer in one product, so when I'm lazy to do a full-on makeup and just spot-concealing, I won't have to worry about the sunlight as I do get tan easily.

With its cheap price, it would have been rude to not try this out! As you can see from my posts, my experience with Essence has been so good so far. I do have some products that I dislike due to its performance.

But this one, is just simply a very different case. Because this is the first time that an Essence product has show a bad reaction to my skin. It has a very milky and liquid-y texture, it does blend nicely. You do have to blend it completely because it does give a white cast.

I do like the performance, it is easy for me to apply makeup using this as a base. It is able to withstand from oiliness for at least 4 hours. I think one of the reason is because my skin has changed to normal type.

Oh and the bad reaction? It breaks me out, like really breaks me out. It really does throw off my normal cleansing routine as I do have to add in more skincare products into it just to get to calm the breakout.

Repurchase? Oh please. This is the first time I have any bad reactions toward the new Essence products. Which is a shame as I really wanted this to work. Primers that I really love is either expensive or just not available in Brunei anymore.

Make-up Review: Essence All About Matt! Fixing Loose Powder

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Finally, our WIFI has been set up again! So now, I can actually update my blog periodically. It's been such a big hassle actually with no WIFI, I can feel my credits running down more quickly than when there was WIFI. I think I've spent more than a hundred dollars just buying credits, I could've save up those money and bought shoes (HEHEHE)

I'm not a big fan of using loose powder but yet I keep my options open because sometimes loose powders does a better job as a finishing powder. Here's what I think about Essence's version.

The product is housed in a really practical plastic jar, with big enough sieve holes that won't make a big problem of letting some of its products out.

The powder itself is very silky and crumbly, as you can see, the powder is white. It goes on translucent, it brightens up your face a little and mattifies it, hence the name. My face brush picks up enough product to cover the whole face. I really love this powder since it makes my makeup matte for at least 5 hours before oiliness starts showing.

I'd definitely repurchase this since this is very afforable for something that works so well. But I know by the time I'm done with this, I'd definitely want to try out other brands as well.

Random Ranting: My New Favorite Toy..

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I do feel my blog has been neglected this past few months, well, here I am updating myself here. I am glad that the WIFI is fixed now, so I can actually get to write up more reviews coming up soon. I am trying to make this blog interesting as somehow, my interest in makeup somehow lessens.

I do wear makeup everyday, even going to the office with just my Hajra on. So, this picture below is one of the MAIN reason my blog is so neglected that I didn't even make time to create more posts.

I call this favorite new toy of mine, Redberry! Such an uncreative and inappropriate name for its color, but if you look more to the toy's bag, then it'll be much more logical. It's a Nintendo 3DS XL in Pink-White. I have to be honest here, I didn't even have ANY PLANS WHATSOEVER AT ALL on purchasing this. But somehow, I got hooked on when I actually played Mario Kart from my friend's console.

Which actually sparks my interest on getting one, I was torn in choosing either the Pink-White or the Red-Black. Since I didn't want the bundle that has in-house game, so I decided to go with pink. So that I can choose whatever games I want with the 2 games + console bundle.

Ever since buying this, I have been playing games with the console ALMOST everyday. Ignoring the fact that I own a laptop that needs to be fixed, ignoring the tons of pending K-Dramas I just retrieved from my friends that needs to be watched.

And, you know what. My little brother owns a PSVita, on which I do play a few times, trying out that game I really like, which is Persona. And, I actually loved playing with PSVita as well. Which goes without saying that I'd love to get my hands on a PSVita, maybe by the end of the year. The only color I have my eyes on is the Pink-Black.

Yes, EVERYTHING MUST BE PINK! Though now that I think about it, I have a lot of white now. My new laptop is white, my Nintendo has white, my tab has white. So hmm..
