Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!
I've had this long in my draft unattended, so while I'm busy doing my assignments and I'm having my off day today, so I might as well just update this and review this oil for you ladies.
So my skin is very prone to acne, and when I say acne, it's not those barely there spots, it's definitely those acnes where you can pop it to excrete those yellow icky pus. And I'm one of those gals who likes to pop pimples, LOL! So basically I'm not helping my skin at all, letting them be inflamed and produces those dark scars along the way. I'm currently on a skincare routine that helps eliminate these acne scars, so far so good.

Back to this oil, I've been trying to find tea tree oil in Brunei, let's face it, it wasn't easy, although I know there's a Tea Tree Oil product at Bodyshop but I somehow never bought anything from there, except to repurchase my favorite EDP there.
The Baviphat Tea Tree Oil was on offer, I can't remember the price but it was less than $5 where as the usual price was around the $15 mark, so it was a very nice bargain at that time. It contains about 20ml worth of product, it smells like tea tree oil, I pretty much prefer them to have a dropper as it is easier than this, but this stops from spilling any wastage, so all is not lost.
I don't need to swatch it as it is just basically oil. When apply to my blemishes, it has this cooling effect, but if I do have an open wound, it would sting as how spirits does to any wounds, so I assume that they do contain some kind of alcohol at some point.
The effect they have on pimples can be seen in a matter of 2 days, it's nice but I don't think I'll be repurchasing this as I really need something that can instantly deflate any pimples so I can actually stop myself from popping it on my free time.
There are two other Tea Tree Oil Products I can recommend but yeah, to be honest, TTO does not work well on me either.
ReplyDeleteThey are the AIKEN TTO and Garden of Eden Acne Serum. Can be found at Guardian. The latter being overpriced imo.
Does it work? Disinfecting it maybe.
For flattening pimples...I think the only way for you to avoid popping them is:
1) Don't look at mirrors lol
2) Don't feel your face
3) Cover it with either Nexcare or a clay mask :3
4) T3 Mycin Gel that can only be bought at Guardian PHARMACY (not the normal shelves) Gel, not the Liquid one.
5) Etude House Pink Powder Spot
I now usually only have flesh coloured pimples which annoy the heck out of me. So I'm trying out the Mario Badescu Drying Cream :)
Hope that helps :D
And what routine are you on, currently?
Thanks for the recommendation! I didn't know there's Tea Tree Oil from Aiken, need to check them soon.
DeleteI'm afraid your "ways" that includes T3 Mycin Gel and the Etude House's Pink Powder Spot, I'm afraid to try it, as I've actually tried Salicylic-based products and it broke me out instead of actually reducing pimples :(
My routine is basically for a clean and moisturized skin instead of fighting off acnes.
I rotate a few of my cleansers including bar soaps. Essence's refreshing toner and Simple's Light Moisturizer, don't know where I did wrong, though maybe my new makeup remover was the problem here.
T3 Mycin Gel isn't Salicylic. It's a lot stronger, it's Clindamycin.
DeletePink Powder Spot (prolly contains Salicylic) is for spots only so just pat around the actual spots. Both Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic acid tbh doesn't work on me lol. So I really follow my guts when and what to use.
I rotate everyday, my acne usually comes from diet and stress, just that one time it was really hormonal. If you compare my old acne to now, I used to not be able to leave the house without makeup.
So yeah, you can always try the EH sample for PPS before committing to the fullsize.
thanks for the recommendation, I might just try the T3 Mycin Gel! :D
Deletetea tree oil doesn't work well for me either. I prefer benzoyl peroxide creams that are at least 5% and a toner with salicylic acid (I use one from Biore). If you are having skin problems, I suggest you try those instead! Also you can buy asparin tablets (non-coated) and disolve them with water into powder and put the powder directly onto the pimples. It's pretty much highly concentrated salicylic acid ~ I used to pop pimples as a kid and it scarred my face so badly and took years to fix. Never again, just leave them alone to dry up lol >_<
ReplyDeleteI am actually using benzoyl peroxide creams which works wonders with me. Though I'm pretty skeptical of using aspirin tablets as you said, it has salicylic acid, which I've stayed away from.
DeleteHelo Imah:)My skin type is acne-prone too,i've been battling with these bad-ass for as long as i rmbr.I quit using the acne-treatment product because it doesn't do that much.If u're face doesn't broke-out from using new product, may i suggest you try calamine lotion without menthol which available at Guardian. The consistency might be a bit runny,i apply it with cotton swap day & night aft i've cleanse, tone&moisturise.Gd luck with trying,Salam from SG;)
ReplyDeleteHello there,l
DeleteOo, that's a nice recommendation, definitely will buy this calamine lotion if ever I have a bad case of acne :D thanks! Salam too.
Assalammualaikum :) I also have oily/combination skin too, but Alhamdulillah it isn't prone to acne much, after I use Garnier Pure Active :) the facial foam, the toner, and I also use the Garnier Pure 3-in-1 as my scrub plus mask (clay mask). I guess, they help me a lot :) I use moisturizer too, in the form of a face cream but of different brand ^_^
ReplyDeleteWhere did you buy this?
