Make-up Review : MUA Professional Eyeshadow Palette in Pretty Pastel

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

A few days ago, you've seen my haul on these eyeshadow palettes that I've lusted and bought with the help of my friend that I kept calling "Pinky Love", she's a fan of beauty and make-up but she is not a beauty blogger yet :P

I'm actually surprised with the size of these eyeshadow palettes, it's so small and compact, I thought it would've been bigger looking at the pictures from the reviews, LOL!

It consists of 12 eyeshadows with dual-ended sponge applicators, which is useful for any emergency situation.

I'm not a big fan of describing colors because of my lack of knowledge in colors but I'll try to describe as simple as I can to give you an idea of what this palette is.

First Row
Shade 1Pale Pink
Shade 2 - Pale Peachy Coral Pink
Shade 3 - Pale Brown with Pink Tone
Shade 4 - Pale Green
Shade 5 - Electric Blue
Shade 6 - Pale Purple with Blue Tone

Second Row
Shade 7 - Yellow
Shade 8 - Light Orange
Shade 9 - White with Lilac shimmers
Shade 10 - Lilac
Shade 11 - Bright Pink
Shade 12 - Palest Purple

What I can say is that these eyeshadows are very nice and pigmented enough to create great make-up looks, there's no dark shadows here, only bright and pastel colors. For B$8 a pop, I find it interesting that these glides on smoothly and creamy, this goes to you *cough*Revlon5EyeshadowQuad*cough*

These eyeshadow gives a shimmery-satin finish, it doesn't look so shimmery as I've thought it would be, it's almost wearable to school or work, if you are the kind who loves to wear these kind of eyeshadows. Also it lasts fairly well, I don't have oily lids, this goes as far as 8 hours.

Skincare Review : Bio-Oil

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

This is going to be a brief review about a product that I've bought a few weeks ago from my trip to Miri and believe it or not, this is the only haul I bought from Miri, impressive, I still have the power in me to resist shopping, yeay me.

I'm just recycling my picture because, there's not much to show anyways.

So I bought Bio-Oil where I've been intrigued to try because of the claims of, oh sorry, I realized that the packaging is pictured on its Malay side. So it claims to be a specialist skincare for:
  • Scar (Parut)
  • Stretch Marks (Regangang Kulit)
  • Uneven Skin Tone (Warna Kulit Tidak Serata)
  • Wrinkles (Penuaan Kulit)
  • Kulit Kering (Dry Skin)
Also, another thing is I'm going to only review about Scars and Dry Skin.

For scars, it did mention in its instruction that to apply on your face, you should apply and dab a little on your targeted areas and massage them till it's absorbed.

Checked. I did what the instruction told me.

Although if you want effective result, this should be in your skincare regimen and stick to it for a couple of months to see any kind of results. However, in my case, there's no effective results. After a few days applying this, keeping up with my regimen of applying this twice a day there's a newly-formed zits ON the areas that I applied this oil. I applied this to both my cheeks and also my chin, all these 3 areas, I have those big zits with enlarged sebums with those yellow pus. Mountains on my face!

It was devastating so I had to use my Acne Skincare Routine, which I'll be posting soon, and it took days for my mountains to recede and giving more acne marks, sigh.

But this is actually a great moisturizer, I actually applied this as a lipcare treatment, it does give me a very soft and moisturized lips and I actually noticed that it does even out my natural lip color(I have pigmented lips) so all is not lost.

Also with my elbows, which is the driest, also felt moisturized when using this. I definitely will use this up for moisturizing everywhere my skin needs except for my face

Make-up Review : Essence Eyeliner Pen

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I've bought this a few weeks ago in my June haul. It's a liquid eyeliner pen, a first eyeliner pen ever.

It has a pointy end which gives off a black black color in a thick line, I somehow unable to get it to creat a crisp thin line, so for advanced make-up user, this might disappoint you.

But nevertheless, a very good eyeliner for starters and beginners as this is sort of gives a mistake-proof application. Fast-drying and non-waterproof.

I don't know what went wrong with this pen, I think it might be the lid of not being able to close the pen properly, but this pen died on me and there's actually mold on the felt-tip as you can see from the picture below, the white ring. The mold forming created the moldy smell and also decreased the performance of the pen it became less pigmented.

So I never really actually get to use this to test this out for its longevity, it's a shame. Because of this, I'd definitely won't buy a new one after this.

Random Pictures : Haul from MUA and Amazon.Co.Uk

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Le Haul from UK has arrived :D I've asked a friend of mine to help with the stuff that I dreamed of having ever since I laid eyes on the reviews and swatches. I've ordered it around March but then I wanted to save money on shipping so I've decided that my friend will bring it back to Brunei after her semester break, thanks to my Pinky Love <3

And there's bits and bobs from Sleek I've bought which didn't get in time by the time my friend needs to depart from UK, so I'd have to wait for another 2-3 weeks.

  • MUA Extreme Professional Pen Eyeliner
  • MUA Professional Eye Primer
  • MUA Professional Face Primer
  • MUA Clear Mascara Gel

  • MUA Professional Heaven and Earth Palette
  • MUA Professional Pretty Pastel Palette

Want-it Wishlist : Bits and Bobs

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Another Want-It Wishlist post, and the ones below are the ones I really really love to have RIGHT NOW! LOL.

YSL Glossy Lip Stain, a current cult in the blogosphere, it has tons of shades to pick from so this is something I would love to try because most Korean lip stains only has 3 shades : Pink, Red and Orange.

A Lip and Cheek stain from Benefit, a regular in the blogosphere, always popping here and there. Some prefer the red tint, was it the Cha Cha Tint? LOL, I can never remember names of products so much. However, I love pink tints as they come of as vibrantly natural on my lips.

Cute shower foams from Etude House containing Milk Extracts! I went to the store a few days ago and I am in love with the Chocolate Milk, Steamed Milk and the Banana Milk. They smell so delicious, almost like the real thing! I would definitely buy this on my next pay! :D

This is not the exact Garnier BB Cream that is available in our local store, I think the exact name of their product was Instant Moisturizer BB Cream? It costs just abou $9.90 or lower, a very cheap BB Cream, I don't think it'll have a lot of coverage, might come across as a tinted moisturizer, nevertheless, this is mine on my next pay.

Unfortunately, items are sold separately in our local Etude House and much more expensive, therefore I'll be purchasing this when I live in KL next year :D

I think I'd love to try something more mild than a bottle of oil to reduce my ever-so-obvious acne marks that I depend on makeups and poor lighting to make me look flawless in pictures i.e the OOTD a few weeks ago wearing my brown Baju Kurung.

Skincare Review : Garnier Overnight Whitening Peeling Cream

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

It's one of my first review of Garnier's products as I do have been using Garnier on and off, there's many range of Garnier's product that I would love to try but maybe for some other time, I think I'm currently satisfied with current skincare routine.

This is a night cream from Garnier containing lemon essence which will in return claim to give you a fresh and fairer skin when you wake up.

It has a normal consistency of a night cream, not too thick and too runny either. I think this doubles up as a moisturizer too, I usually take a very small dip, almost like a dab of this cream and it covers up the whole face and massage this cream onto your face for maximum absorption.

Does it live up to its whitening property? I guess not as I've used up many whitening products and it is certainly not possible for me to "whiten" up as I just can't seem to change my skintone shade. So there's a question of whether it is worth it to buy this product or not.

For me, I would say yes, it might not make your skin fairer and skip from a NC40 to NC35 (I'm not familiar with MAC's shade, so please correct me if I'm wrong) at once, but it does brighten up your skin and peels off any dull tone on your skin. It doesn't peel in the sense that your skin would be peeled off, as it is not strong enough to peel of dead skin cells, but it is strong enough to peel off the dull tone on your skin creating this temporary one-day brighter and fairer skin.

Not only that, it moisturizes your skin giving you a much softer and hydrated skin. Technically, this is a very great product for moisturizing and brightening. If you live in a place with equatorial climate, this might be good enough in terms of moisturizing your skin but I wouldn't probably go as far as claiming this might be good enough for colder regions.

Make-up Review : Baviphat Sugar Girl Gel Eyeliner

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So, I've been sold when Fifi of Pretty Much Makeup made a review.

This is a Korean cosmetic brand, which I am very foreign to but nevertheless, they have very cute vintage packaging, almost similar to theBalm cosmetic brand. I do am feel interested in buying something from this brand, though I haven't really research on this brand, so I might start in just a few days.

I bought this in Pearl Navy, I wanted to buy it in purple because I've been in search for purple gel liners, but all is well found a purple gel liner from Essence, and currently looking for a Moss Green gel liner, bad dear me, heehee. I think Tonymoly has a green gel liner so I might come and pick up things at Tonymoly.

Back to the review, it has a creamy but of a medium soft texture, it's not so crumbly soft as opposed to Essence's gel liner but it is still soft that it actually glides on pretty well when applying it normally with a brush.

I'm not good with describing colors but this Pearl Navy gel liner is basically a navy with metalic sheen giving off a satin finish to it. It works well on my lashline, it doesn't crease or smudge and it is long-lasting, doesn't even fade until you remove it with cleansing oil or any type of make-up remover.

I might repurchase this, but who ever going to finish up gel liners? But I am running out of black gel liner, which is from Silkygirl, so I might try out Essence Gel Liner in Black or maybe Baviphat's but only if I am finished with my Silkygirl's.

Make-up Review : Essence's I ♥ Stage Eyeshadow Base

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

With Essence, AGAIN, LOL, so okay, today we're going to talk about eyeshadow base and to tell you the truth, this is my second eyeshadow base, the first being NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil, lol. So anyways, some reviews about this base also compared it to Urban Decay's Primer Potion, which is something exciting because I can't really afford one.

The tube this product is contained is actually small, but I don't mind that, it has a lot of products inside and this is the "less is more" type, you won't need a lot to cover your eyelid, just one dab of it, maybe?

What I forgot to take pictures of is that, this tube contains your normal doe-foot applicator. It has a creamy liquid-y texture, color is nude, almost like a liquid concealer. It blends out nicely giving a nude canvas to your eyelid, giving them a brightened up look, you can just use this alone to brighten up or apply eyeshadow after the base.

As you can see below, it does give impact on my Stay All Day Long Lasting Eyeshadow, sorry for recycling pictures, but then, why not. The eyeshadow base is very impressive though, even for my first eyeshadow base, it last me longer than 8 hours and I don't normally have any encounters of oily lids after 12 hours, so this doesn't crease up on me after the 8-hour marks, still making sure that my eyeshadows and eyeliner still looking fresh as it possibly can.

A repurchase? Yes sure, I won't mind having to buy this over and over again without trying other brand unless it's affordable.

Make-up Review : Essence Stay All Day Long Lasting Eyeshadow in 03 Steel The Show

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So okay, I need to explore other brands but I just can't keep myself to it until I bought everything from Essence, except for the lipliners, lipglosses and nail polishes. So yeah, that's how crazy I am with Essence. HAHA.

I never tried any cream shadows and I actually wanted to buy a brown/taupe color but instead bought this gray shadow for which, I don't mind because I don't really have a grey shadow in my collection yet.

Although it's a grey color, it seems to have a hint of brown in it in real life, almost like taupe but only when it is a light swatch which is nice for a wash over your lid, giving quite a natural finish, given the frosty-looking product.

There's a big difference between when swatched witth and without primer, but all the same both swatches are pretty pigmented. There's no light swatch because, the camera won't pick up the colors as opposed to the heavy swatch.

This is a nice cream shadow that may not be smooth enough but nevertheless it is easy to apply on your eyelid, it might rival the Maybelline's 24hr Color Tattoo, but I don't really have any to compare with due to its non-availability in Brunei.

A great product which stays all days and doesn't crease but only after 12 hour of use :D Something that might take a long time for me to repurchase as I've been using this a lot but hardly made even a small dent out of this, but I would love to try out more colors, I only wish their Backstage Eye Souffle was available =/ too late.

Product Spotlight : Essence's Stay All Day Foundation and Privia BB Cream

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So what I'm going to talk about today is about my Essence Stay All Day Foundation,  I think my skintone is a bit lighter these days despite the fact that we live in an equatorial climate which basically means summer all-year round.

So however, this, I've been using usually for nights and because of the lighter skintone, this foundation is getting darker on me. I did say that I pretty much won't repurchase this, but I change my mind!

I don't know if you can see it but it does give me an orange cast to my hand if worn alone.

So I decided to pair it with this, Privia's BB Cream! This is a BB cream that is pretty much unloved in my makeup collection, due to the fact that it gives an obvious white cast and too moisturizing for me.

See the white cast? It's too obvious that it doesn't even fade away when oxidized.

So what I do is apply the foundation over the BB Cream.

And.. TADA!!

No more white cast! Well, only at the area where I applied the foundation at least :p

Make-up Review : Missha's Signature Glam Art Rouge Mini 5 Color Lip Palette No.2

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Again, another Missha review, but this one is a freebie from Missha in conjuction with the product launching of "What A Lovely Moment" The Ultimate Special Edition Beauty Collaboration Makeup Lovely Pastel designed by Kim Jihee, lol that's a handful! They prompted us to choose either Lip Palette No.1 or No.2, I can see that No.2 has more range of colors than No.2, I decided to pick up the latter and also, the SA too have persuaded me into choosing this because of the Pink packaging, because No.1 has a Gold packaging. HEEE.

So anyways, the palette is actually a small sample of 5 different creamy lipstick from their Signature Glam Art Rouge range. I think each sample is less than 2g?

So the colors from left to right : SPK103, SPK104, SCR303, SBE201 and SBR601

SPK103 : described as Raspberry Dark Pink
A very lovely dark pink that somehow felt like a MLBB color for me, but when layered on, looked a little plum-ish to me.

SPK104 : described as Vivid Radish Pink
A reddish pink that is just what it says, vivid!

SCR303 : described as Fresh Coral Orange with White Tone
A nice addition to my non-existent orange lip colors.

SBE201: described as Beige with Pink Tone
A nice nude pink color that serves best with a smokey makeup

SBR601 : described as Mild Red Bean Soup Brown
A nude brownish pink color

So the swatches are quite faded but then it was hard to pick up the product from the palette but then when transferred to your lips the colors are more pigmented and I didn't need a lot of SPK104 because the color packs a punch!

What I love about these, is that they have these vanilla scents that I think will relate to MAC lipsticks although I've never had a MAC lipsticks (I am just not interested in MAC ==') The texture are quite creamy and it is also not drying.

They also stain your lips with it so it is a nice thing that I don't have to check my lip color every hour and also, long-lasting. I might be interested in buying their full-size lipsticks especially SBE202 (not in review) because it is a very nude color that I must definitely have!

Random Ranting: It's in my mind for a while now.

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So anyways, today I'm going to post up something that has been in my mind. I've followed a fellow blogger and somehow I just don't like the way she writes up posts on her blog, she makes wonderful reviews and whatnot. But there have been mentions in her post about bloggers who have below 100 followers has little to show or lack the "oomph" in their blog posts and etcetera.

Somehow it got me thinking, she has been creating problems with other bloggers and always saying that she was right and they were wrong. But I really don't like the fact that she has become somewhat rude and thinks highly of herself. And about the "Below 100 followers" blogger things, I just somehow felt that  I might have a lot of things to improve but usually, for people who gets above 100 followers, there are times that they would just comment on people's blog and say "Nice Post, Followed you, Follow Me Back?" kind of thing to as much blog as they can.

At first, I would've done that, but sometimes I get lazy, sometimes I'm even lazy to post up my blog link to other people's blog. I do comment on people's blogposts but usually I'd comment the ones that are friendly to me, to others, well there are times that I would comment.

So anyways, back to my post, is there any of my blog features that needs to be updated/modified etcetera? I was thinking of giving a layout on making reviews, but haven't gotten to it yet. So tell me if there's anything I should improve.

And about that blogger, I've lost my interest in following her blog, just because I feel that if she sees my blog and see how many followers I have, she would think that I don't have any "oomph" in my blog.

Also an update, I might introduce to you a giveaway on August, I hope! And I will give out products that are affordable but yet being loved so much by me.

Make-up Review : Missha's The Style Tint in Moisture Orange

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

For today, I'm going to make another review on another Missha's Lip Tint in Moisture Orange, oh yes, I fall in love with these tints and I intend to collect two more but since I've hit my $50 budget for makeup this month, so I'm trying my best not to buy more makeup, as I may not have a lot of makeup compared to the make-up collections in Youtube (which actually freaks me out! cuz there have been some people who loves to hoard but never uses it, it hurts my wallet so much! LOL) and I think I have enough currently. Though there's some of my BB Cream almost finishing up.

So back to the story, I have reviewed the sister of this lip tint here, and my opinion about this doesn't change but I just want to give you girls a little something cuz I really am IN LOVE with this color!

It's orange when you first apply it, I just love how they aren't so drying once it's settled. However, this is very PIGMENTED on my lips and I have pigmented lips too! So, it translated as a pinky coral-orange-ish tint when you apply it on your lips, color below doesn't justified how beautiful it is.

And, you only require a little gloss on top and it will give you that MLBB look with a little kick of the orange tint.

Skincare Review : Missha's Love Secret Hand Cream in Cotton White

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

A couple of weeks ago, I entered a contest with my local Missha store's facebook fanpage and I actually won a hand cream for entering a review on my current favorite, their lip tint.

So here I am, giving a review about this hand cream. There were different types of hand cream to choose from but most of them are either too flowery or too fruity, so decided to go for the Cotton White because of it's mild and light smell.

Like the smell, the texture is like a watery lotion and it is a very hydrating hand cream, it moisturizes your hands and keeps em soft and the scent lingers too! A very big plus for me.

A big let down is that, this hand cream contains only 27ml and it costs around $15.90 so it is a bit expensive for a small size hand cream, or else, I would love to repurchase it again and again, or I'll just wait when I do have a job :p
