Make-up Review : Bling Eyeshadow Palette

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

It does seem like I can never get enough of neutral eyeshadow, I bought these from Daiso and I regret myself for refraining not to buy one of these more, because I really love them to bits and it does somehow has a higher quality than I actually expected.

There's actually only four eyeshadows and one of them is actually just an eyeshadow base, which is neat! I didn't really expect it to be an eyeshadow base as I thought it was just another skin-toned eyeshadow colour, I realized it was a base when I saw that it was sweating when I arrived to Brunei.

So anyways, it's just a normal neutral eyeshadow shimmery but almost matte palette, although the eyeshadows are surprisingly very buttery when applied that it has no problems of blending onto my eyes. I really love love the cream orange-y shade as it brightens up my eyelids so nicely and the white eyeshadow is surprisingly nice, it doesn't really give a stark white shade when blended.

The eyeshadow base however, is a little on the sticky side, it does give a little difference of pigmentation as you can see from the upper side of the swatch. It doesn't really stay that long on my lids, 5 hours max, so this might be a good palette for when you are just going out for errands but using this to work or school might be a bad move as you don't want to see creased eyeshadows by the end of the day.

Make-up Review : Watson's Luscious Cheek & Lip in Pink Cherry

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I really love me some lipstains, I can never get enough of them, I am usually very judgmental with Western/Drugstore brand of lipstains, because out of all lipstains/liptints available, I think Korean-based brand wins. They have beautiful colors, texture and they tend to last longer than 4 hours.

I won this from a giveaway through Sprinklerain and I immediately fall in love with this! It stains my lip nicely, I sometimes use this as a base for my NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Spicy to make it more intense. A little goes a long way and you can actually build up the color to create a more intense and opaque look and just finish it with a glossy balm and you're done.

What I like about this is, even though it's a gel texture it doesn't dry out my lips, it doesn't moisturize either but at least I don't feel dry after using this. It lasts a long time, I'm not sure how long, the intensity could last about 8 hours before it starts to fade a little. But even after 8 hours, the color seems to be still as intense as it was when freshly applied. It's so hard to remove this, I tried every makeup remover I have and it still leaves a stain behind, so this is not something I would want to spill on my shirts, lol!

But I really love this, this is the first drugstore lip stain product that I'm not disappointed in.

In My Bag : Just hanging out with my friend

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I actually have this routine where I would hang out almost every week at my friend's house to just hang out and talk shop. We decided that last week that we should just hang out in the morning and go out to have a drink at Taurean Cafe.

I didn't bother to wear makeup early in the day, so I brought some of them with me. So with the makeup bag I won from SprinkleRain, I put in some of the stuffs that I wanted to use that day.

What I brought:
- A facial cleanser
- Clean & Clear SPF Moisturizer
- Lipice lipbalm
- 17 BB Magic Cream
- Maybelline AngelFit Concealer
- Essence's I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base
- A few eye brushes
- Sleek's Au Naturel Palette
- Essence Styling Brow Powder
- Essence's Gel Eyeliner
- 17 Vava Voom Waterproof mascara
- NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Spicy

I'm still trying out the BB Cream, I'm liking it so far. Though it it still a little light for me but I can still make do using my foundation powder darker which is actually slightly darker than my skintone to balance out the whole look.

So to all the products that I haven't review, expect them soon, because I am still trying some of them out.

In My Bag : A 3-Day Trip to Kuala Lumpur

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I've mentioned before that I have actually went to a surprise holiday trip to KL, it was unplanned and it wasn't something that I was ready for. LOL. But anyways, since it was just for 3 days, I didn't bother to bring a lot with me. I didn't even bring my brushes.

On the skincare side, I basically brought the necessities, here it is:
- Pantene's Anti Dandruff Shampoo
- Clear Contact Lens Solution
- Rosken Bio Serum
- Lipice Lipbalm
- Follow Me's Facial Cleanser
- Lady Speedstick
- Essence's Refreshing Toner
- Sunscreen
- Fair & Lovely Multivitamin Cream AND OXY 10 Medication (in a contact lens case)

Also, for my makeup, I just brought my favorite concealer by The Faceshop (it was depotted onto a pink jar), a lip tint, tinted lipbalm, two liquid liners, Essence's Long Lasting Pencil in Brown, Cyber Color's Eyebrow Crayon and Silkygirl's mascara.

I didn't bother to bring BB Creams or foundation because let's face it, I'm more interested in shopping than making myself look pretty at that time, so I just appy Clean & Clear's SPF Moisturizer and apply concealer to where it needs to be applied, use the lip tints, apply eyeliners and mascara, then I'm done, I didn't even bother to bring eyeshadows because I know for a fact that I will definitely buy some while I'm in KL!

Skincare Review : Rosken Bio Serum

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I've been on a search for a good moisturizer though one of the criteria of a good moisturizer is that they must be in a form of oil! I know it's weird but I just have this weird infatuation with facial oil as I really think they give more impact than of the cream/gel moisturizer.

I was in love with Bio-Oil's impact on moisturizing my skin, but I don't like the fact that it actually gives me breakouts that I just couldn't handle. So I've actually found a tester for this bio serum actually and I was glad that I didn't react to it, so I bought this on my next trip to Guardian.

I really LOVE this moisturizer, it does help balance the moisture on my skin. It does help with the oiliness of my skin, because it seems to behave nicely and doesn't get too oily as before. It really is light wearing this moisturizer, it's not really a heavy duty one, but it does the job. I usually use about 4-5 drops for the whole face. So a little goes a long way.

Somehow, I think this is more suitable for oily-combination skin as the texture of this oil is very light because when I have one of those dry-skin phase, it doesn't give much effect unless I blend in about 10 drops of these! But I just would feel so oily on the rest of the face that doesn't have those dry patches.

Will I repurchase? Yes, I've already used up 15% of this baby in the last month I've started using this product.

Make-up Review : Match Perfection Foundation in 400 Natural Beige

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I've bought a foundation while I was in Kuala Lumpur,
I was very confident that I will have the Perfect Match with Natural Beige because the next shade seems to be a bit lighter than my  skintone so I didn't even bother to swatch it which is the biggest mistake ever, as this shade is actually four shades darker than my skintone. It really sucks to be me, I have to say that I am not good in color-matching myself with foundations as I only own darker foundations to mix with my BB
Cream so this foundation is just another mixing medium for my
BB creams.

But I did try wearing it alone and just dust it with my 17 Foundation Powder to lighten it up. It does work but it's just still too dark but from my first impression, I can say that
I love this foundation because it does have oil control and was able to stand for 8 hours on its own.

Upon applying, it leaves my skin semi-matte. I really love this foundation, too bad it's so dark. I really loved to sell this foundation though but if there's no buyer
I'll just use this as a mixing medium but nevertheless, I will buy the lighter shade that maybe my matching shade.

Make-up Review: NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Spicy

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Another makeup review, this time is something I bought from Sephora. It's actually funny when I went to Sephora, I was with my friend going there and somehow the security guard for the shop actually stared at us while we were strolling and checking the makeup there, I guess they thought we're just some random strollers that would steal stuffs =/

Although I can find NYX in Brunei, but I just am intimidated to go to Shop@Sarah, I'm not sure why, but that's just how I feel. At least, Sephora has a more friendlier feel to it. Anyways, I've tried the Soft Matte Lip Cream before and I really love it, since the Xtreme Lip Cream is basically a more intense and glossy version of the Soft Matte Lip Creams, I guess it wasn't so bad to try.

I just bought one from the range since I don't really have any urges to try, I just bought it for the sake of the fact that the security is hovering behind us. LOL! This was for RM26, so it was about B$10-11, cheaper than in Brunei, I think.

I really love the color pay-off for this color, it is very RED, it reminds me of the red that always associated with Marilyn Monroe's lips, I think. It really brightens up my look and I don't really care using it with a heave eye makeup look or a light one, it is still suitable for both looks. I like to use it when I wear my glasses out because I think the black frame actually suits the strong red color.

In terms of longevity, I think it would stay on all day long if you don't eat or drink, the intensity will fade if you do, but it does give you a slightly faded stain after that, but I just don't think I'll buy more shades because of the longevity, it actually transfers to any surface your lip might touch. It doesn't seem to set. So I usually ended up topping this lip cream with a gloss to prolong the wear.

Skincare Review : Sumber Ayu Milk Body Scrub

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I'm back with another review, I think I've hardly ever review about body skincare products as I hardly ever taking care of anywhere but my face, but I guess I've changed. I still never moisturize my body, I mean, we're here for summer all year round, I hardly have any problems with drying skin.

I decided to buy an exfoliating body scrub to scrub off any dead cells around my body, I did have a body scrub, but it was so gentle that it was suitable for everyday but I don't think it really helped my skin to get rid off the dead cells.

So I went on bought this scrub, it was very cheap for $2.50 I think or was it $3.00? I can't remember but it doesn't damage your wallet. It's a very cheap product but for what it's worth, it works. I think this won't go well with people who have sensitivity to scents because, I do have headaches when I sniffed on the tub-ful of scrubs, but it isn't strong when you're scrubbing yourself, I think the scent is stronger  in the tub.

I really love this scrub as it is very exfoliating and it also brighten your skin a little, it does gets irritated if you scrub too much, so it does teach how to not excessively exfoliate. I also love the fact that it does help skim the calluses from my heels, it doesn't magically scrub the calluses away but it does help soften the calluses a little bit.

I usually use this once in every 3-4 days, depends on how my days goes, if I were out so much, definitely once in every 2-3 days. I think I'd repurchase this but maybe from a different scent.

Beauty Bought : Giveaway Winning from Sprinklerain!

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I was pretty much surprised with the mail I've received from Ka Sheila of Sprinklerain because I didn't really expect Ka Sheila to put it in DHL Express Mail. I was actually expecting a few mails but I was expecting them to be in small packets because I'm still expecting my laptop accessories.

I really love the wrapping paper for the packaging, it was too cute to actually rip it off, but then I have too, I was too hyper-ed when I saw the name of the sender on the packaging.

Sorry about that I had to cover my name and address for security reason, of course. Hee. I was happy enough that I thought I just received a makeup bag, makeup remover wipes and the Bioderma Water. Then when I opened the makeup bag, I didn't expect to have more makeup in it!

I also love the card that Ka Sheila gave me, I really love the ink pen, I'd love to look for that pinky glitter pen, it reminds me of my childhood, lol.

What I received:

1. 17 Oil-Blotting Paper
2. 17 BB Magic Cream in Translucent
3. 17 Vava Voom Waterproof Volume Mascara
4. 17 Super Fine Foundation Powder in Light Beige
5. 17 Trio Eyeshadow in Black Slate
6. 17 Blusher in Pinky Rose
7. 17 Colour Shine Lipgloss in Pink Fruity
8. Watson's Luscious Cheek & Lip in Pink Cherry
9. 17 Makeup Remover Wipes
10. Bioderma Sensibio H20 Solution Micellaire

I can't believe I receive so much, thanks Ka Sheila, it was very generous of you! As you can see, it's all about Boot's own cosmetic brand, which is 17.

I've been loving all of the products you gave me, especially the mascara and the cheek & lip tint. I loved the combination of the bb cream and foundation, I'll set up reviews on the stuffs I received, I still haven't tried the Makeup Remover Wipes and Bioderma.

Beauty Bought : My first trip to KL

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I had a surprise getaway with my family to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for just a few days at the end of May. I think I went crazy with spending all my money on the trip. I had fun, I will post up a more detailed blogpost on my next post.

Anyways, I've actually missed out a few things on my haul post, where I've actually bought a few blouses, maxi skirts, hijabs and a messenger bag. I'm not sure if my readers are particularly interested in what my fashion sense is, I could tell you now that it's very simple.

While I was in KL, I stayed at Cititel Hotel at Midvalley, the Midvalley Mall itself is very busy mall, I can tell you now that I've actually haven't gone through the mall thoroughly, everytime I went down to the mall, I will still end up be surprised of finding a few stores that I'd like to explore.

I am currently on a quest to find the perfect nail polish for me to wear when I'm on my "holidays", I was so happy to see SASA, Inglot, MAC, Bobbi Brown, Shu Eumera(sp?), Clinique! It was makeup heaven, I tell you!

I've also encountered Daiso, I know Daiso is somewhat a cheap store, I didn't expect all the stuff in the store to be RM5 each! I've made quite a few nasty purchases. I bought those pink pliers and I don't even know what to use it for! LOL! But I guess it would come in handy in the future. I also made a few purchase on the makeups there but I wasn't sure about the quality, so I didn't buy a lot, I wanted to buy some for a swap that I'm currently collecting for, but I was afraid of the quality of the product would do me no good.

I've also bought a cheap Android tablet somewhere in the Lowyat area for the purpose of developing our Android app for our Final Year Project and bought two books at MPH Bookstore that would help me, InshaAllah to get through the project. I think I'd make a review on the Android tablet itself!

In terms of makeup, I was glad that I didn't do much damage, I bought a palette from Elianto on which I will review it soon! I might make a few FOTDs out of it. I also purchased a foundation from Rimmel and I think I regret buying it because it is 3 shades darker and it is quite on the warm side. But anyways, reviews will be up soon.

I also went to Sephora but I just bought a few NYX stuff as when I went to the Benefit's stand, I was unimpressed with all their stuffs there. And the fact that they are very expensive that I didn't go for their products, maybe next time!

Make-up Review: Catrice Lip Appeal in 170 Peach Boy

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Another Catrice review for your girls, hopefully this would not be my last Catrice review for this year as I actually realize I have a lot of hauls and a lot of makeup to go through before I can buy more. I also have a lot more sections to add into my blog so my blog won't be all about just MAKEUP and SKINCARE.

Enough about that, I will get on to my blogging plan soon. So I've bought a lipgloss to match with my Catrice lipstick in Oh Juicy!

This is the first time I've encountered with this type of wand, it's paddle-shaped, that's the only word I can describe, although it does help a lot in applying lipgloss very evenly.

It's half-pigmented, it's a little bit on a sticky side, but I don't think I'd mind because I won't be actually whipping my hair out wearing this, so I'm not afraid of hair sticking onto my lips.

But I really love the color, it does tame my bright orange lipstick a little, but I really love it, I might just buy more colors from this lipgloss range and it's long-lasting too. So far, I don't really detect any scents.

Make-up Review : Catrice Ultimate Lipstick in 060 Oh Juicy!

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I'm sorry for not posting so consistently these past few weeks. I had to attend a Seminar about "Rumahku Syurgaku" (My Home, My Heaven), it's all about every aspect you need to know about marriage. It was an eye-opening seminar for me, I've actually never attended these types of seminars but I really love it.

I also made a surprise trip to KL, I wish I had more time to get ready for the trip or had more time on my trip to KL. I would love to see a few of the beauty bloggers from KL! But alas, I'll just have to wait on it up till next year I guess.

So anyways, I'm making a review on a lipstick from Catrice. I've always wanted to try lipsticks as I never really buy lipsticks more than I buy eyeshadows, and I do need to stop buying eyeshadows, LOL!

I really love the packaging of this lipstick, it doesn't seem to cost $5.90 because the packaging is somehow of high-quality material.

The color is a bright red-toned orange, it is a nice bright orange that can give your look a real nice pop of color, although the lipstick is creamy. It seems to apply unevenly on my lips as I have to apply a lipbalm underneath it and also to make the color stay, I wore a lipgloss over it.

Although a lovely color, it wasn't something that I want to buy more, I'd definitely try a different type of the Catrice lipsticks.
