Make-up Review : Skin79 Super Beblesh Balm Hot Pink BB Cream Triple Function

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I've finally have my hands on this baby! Yeay me! LOL.
I've been lemming over this baby for a while now and I finally have it thanks to my bestfriends for buying it for me as a birthday present! :D

So, this is the famous Skin79 Hot Pink BB Cream, there is no need for detailed information about this BB Cream as there is a lot of blog reviews about this famous baby. I've actually reviewed this, but I've deleted that post, as I want to have a more clean slate for this baby.

It claims to have triple function: Sun Protection, Whitening and Anti-Wrinkles.

I can't say anything about whitening, cuz I haven't been using this as regularly as I could because of the amount of foundations and BB Creams I have to finish up, though I prefer to use BB Creams at daytime and Foundations at night.

Here's the swatch on me, it appears a little light on me but then oxidizes to a half-shade lighter than my skin, if that's even make sense but still it fits the bill of not being too light. Since I'm wearing head cover, no one would realize or even SEE the difference of  the skintone of my face and neck.

It has a creamy texture which easily blends with your fingers, and it doesn't take time to blend. It gives a soft and matte finish that you can actually skip setting powder. With this BB Cream, I haven't had any breakouts, it's as if the BB Cream actually prevents myself from breaking out and I even take my time off from using this baby and somehow, pimples seems to easily pop out when I'm not using this.

I also think it has anti-wrinkle properties, as it gives you a smoother complexion and although it doesn't give you a very great coverage, but it'll do. As long as it suppresses acne break-outs!

So, a very big tick off for me! I'd definitely buy this over and over again! Nevermind the Vital Orange! Yeay :D

Make-up Review : Essence 16-Hours Stay All-Day Foundation

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

As I've blogged before, I did buy myself two Essence foundation of both mousse and liquid texture. I bought the product below for about $7.90 in 30 Matt Sand

This claims to last for 16 hours, providing a flawless and silky complexion.

It has a very creamy-liquid texture that is easily blended to your skin giving you a semi-matte finish with a light-weight feel on your skin, also, it does give me a brighter complexion without giving me a white cast over. I think it's because of the fact that it doesn't give you any SPF protection [I don't see anything about UV protection on the label]. So, the only time that I'm able to use this is on nighttime. I don't mind about the lacking of UV protection because sometimes it's too heavy for me to apply a BB Cream every nights that I go out.

What I like about this is, even though it's a light-weight foundation, it does help conceal my redness and also  tone down the visibility of my acne scars. Though I won't purchase this because of the fact that it doesn't have any SPF and I have more things to try out, but this is an item worth checking out.

Make-up Review : Holika Holika's Clearing Petit BB Cream

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

This is my 3rd BB Cream from the Holika Holika's Petit BB line, it contains Tea Tree Oil which is basically a very good solution to sooth any acne inflammation and reduces redness of your acne and such.

The texture is somewhat thinner from my Petit Watery BB Cream, a little runny but unlike my Moisture Petit BB Cream. It has one shade only, so I think it's suitable for pale to medium skin. For darker skin, you might want to buff in pressed powder of your skintone color onto your face before you give up and throw it away.

As usual with BB Creams, they have UV protection of SPF30. It also claims to improve troubled skin.

I seriously love this BB Cream because the texture is easy and blending fool-proofed.  It gives you a very matte finish, so you might want to skip powder, but out of routine, I finished it off with a little buff of my Silkygirl foundation powder.

Also, it has this delicious smell, it's almost smell like the Watery Petit, but more subtle than that. It's not overpowering to make any thing

This BB Cream can keep of the shine on my T-Zone, a little longer than as usual with my normal-oily skin condition. It'll last more if I were to set it with powder. Somehow, I think this helps with my acne breakouts, I hardly have any these days, which is a big achievement, thought there's one or two popping out, but nothing big enough.

Overall a good product that I won't mind purchasing every now and then.

Skincare Review : The Faceshop's Vita Mask Sheets

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

These face masks are one of my least favorite, it might've been in my Worst Product post, if I were to write it up.

So, I think the ones that are with good performance is the Egg and Milk essence. Is it normal that the masks are tinted in their respective package color?

It somehow gave a stinging sensation instead of what it promises in giving plump and cooled effect, I took it off before reaching the 5 minute mark, taking in mind I have a normal-oily skin. I usually don't have any negative reaction to any skincare products, except for acne products.

So I guess it's a bit of a let down that even a sheet mask can actually give me this effect. There's not much I can say. I'm banning my wallets from ALL The Faceshop's Mask Sheet.

Make-up Review : Avon Simply Pretty Lipsticks

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

This is a present given by my Biring (a Brunei name for Aunt). it's Avon's Simply Pretty Lipsticks.

My Biring bought me Color Bliss Sparkle Lipstick in Dazzling Rose and Colo Last Lipstick in Lucky Orange.

As you can see from the swatch, Dazzling Rose came off as a frosty pink with blue undertone, it's sheer but buildable. It's not that creamy, though the color is a fantastic nude pink color, it settles on lines. It accentuates dry lips.

For Lucky Orange, it's a pink-coral lipstick. This color is a very love-hate color. Although creamy when applied, it still has this tendency to accentuate dry lips and settling on lines. I can simply say that Avon's lipsticks are a bit of a let down, especially on the Simply Pretty line, because not only the quality isn't the best of all, it stings my lips. I don't know if it were supposed to plump your lips, but I have had a Simply Pretty lipstick before, of which I've thrown out, it does the same stinging sensation too. It's not a good stinging, it can gravitate to being itchy.

Sorry for the pimple! LOL. However, I seriously love these colors, it's the colors that I've been trying to find in lipsticks. It's very disappointing that they have those itchy and stinging sensation.

Make-up Review : Holika Holika Holy Berry Tint

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I'm a big fan of lip tints, though I haven't have a big collection of them, but I'm definitely going to grow out a collection out of them. So I won't have to think about whether I should buy a lipstick or not!

So I decided to buy a lip tint from Holika Holika, it has a very cheap price tag on this lip tint. It has two colors, one more slightly pink-toned and I got a red tint. It has a doe-foot applicator, sorry, I seem to forgot to take a picture. It is a liquid tint, no texture, just liquid, almost as runny as water.

Lip Swatches (First Time!)

Bare lips.

One coat of the lip tint, and it's already showing up very pigmented, me likes! :D But it's too red for my liking, so I decided to add a coat of my Tony Moly Milky Peach Tint to give it a softer red and glossy look.

Ain't that prettay? LOL! It has a strawberry scent to it and it taste bitter. I hardly taste my lip tints, I never do have the needs to taste, though Tony Moly's Milky Tints taste good but yeah, I never really mind it.

Repurchase? Nahh, it's a lot of product and there's a lot of lip tints to be discovered :p

Make-up Review : Essence All Eyes On Me Multi-Effect Mascara

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I've hardly ever reviewed on mascaras, only because I don't have this need to hoard as much as I would love to, I'd like to try mascaras from Maybelline or Loreal, or even Etude House, but Etude House has a price that cost more than 10 Essence mascaras. I think I'll try Holika Holika's mascaras, cuz I find them very affordable below $10.

It is an Essence All Eyes On Me Mascara in 03 Deep Purple. It is said to have multi-effects on your lashes, such as extra-volume, length, curl, thickness and separation.

I actually bought this on a whim, because it has a low price tag of $3.90, which I found to be very cheap for a mascara! Essence products are only found in Paloma, you can apply for membership and get more discount! :D

And as you can see from my picture, you can see that it's a navy-ish color, but in real life it's more of a very dark purple. It tints my lashes to purple, but I don't really mind, because it does give the effect that I want.

It definitely curls and volumizes my lashes, though not sure about the effect from the thick and length department. But overall, for its price tag, I am basically happy with the result.

The downside to this mascara is that it's not long-lasting and it's not waterproof. To salvage the effect, I use my non-useful Silkygirl Hi-Definition Mascara to make it long-last, lengthens and waterproof. I can say that both are a very good combination to make perfect lashes.

Repurchase? Hmm, probably if there's any waterproof mascara.

Skincare Review : Jasaengsu's Masks

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I was on a quest to find Purederm masks which is only available at Paloma, an exclusive beauty store that brings in different brands from Korea to US and Malaysia. When Purederm was out of stock, these was my savior and my replacement, though affordable, I found that other lines of the Jasaengsu masks are a bit expensive, the ones that has more effects than the normal collagen masks.

From here, I've bought all of the mask essence that are available, from Seaweed, Caviar, Pine Mushroom, Natural Royal Jelly, Vitamin E & C, Red Ginseng and White Orchid ( I think).

I love these sheet masks, they're comparable to Purederm, but they don't offer a lot of choices. Only collagen masks, they have a thin sheet with enough essence on it, and the essence are very cooling and refreshing as par with most sheet masks, they easily absorbs into your skin without leaving you with sticky essence, but it leaves you with smoother and plumper skin, so this is also good for a hydration boost.

Repurchase? Definitely.

Random Ranting : MUA HAUL!

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Oh, it's a big haul, alright! But unfortunately this is still in UK! And this is a collective order by my friends and I. So not all is mine, sorry! :D

Thanks to my pinky love for ordering this for me! :D

Skincare Review : Holika Holika Face Masks

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Another review on facial sheet masks, this time from the Holika Holika. I'm a big fan of Holika Holika  as most of my hauls are from Holika Holika and also they provide some very affordable prices on their products especially their Petit BB Creams! I will try and make a budget for the 2 others that I haven't had! :D

And another announcement is that, I've actually finished up my Watery Petit BB Cream, awesome right? Never knew that finishing up a BB Cream is possible, so I'm going to post it up on my March Empties :D Moreover to their Masks, I don't really remember how much it costs per mask, but I know it's affordable, because if it's very expensive, I wouldn't buy these :p

So anyways, I have Tomato, Pearl, Tea Tree, Aloe Vera, Blueberry

I haven't tried the Honey Essence yet, but I pretty much think that this is your ordinary sheet masks, cooling and relaxing but hardly any effects. Though I find that the Tea Tree essence smells horrid but somehow it dies down my raging acne breakouts so that's a  plus. But I won't be repurchasing these masks. Only if I have more budget, because I have other masks to try out.

Blog Award : Backlog

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I've been awarded for this award a few days ago by Iridescent Colors and now a few hours ago by xLittleBells. And I'm thankful, for the award from the both of you :D

Iridescent Colors, I always love love love her creative EOTDs, I'd never be able to pull of anything like her eye makeups, guess I haven't have the right tools and shadows yet, but you people need to check her out! She's already posting up tutorials! :D

xLittleBells, a girl with interest in Kpop and Korean cosmetics! I love her informative and detailed reviews, unlike mine lol. So, please check her blog too, people! :D

For this award, I must:

1. Thank the person you received the award from
2. Say seven random things about yourself
3. Pass the award to 15 other bloggers.

Okay, I'm going to again, say something random about myself. Hmm.

1. I never have this lemmings for phones, I mean, I'd love to have those high-spec phone such as Samsung Galaxy Note or iPhone 4s. But I never really justify in buying them with my own money because of their price and I barely use my phone for other things than texting and calling.

2. If I were to go out, the 3 most important make-up item I must use is BB Cream, Gel Liner and Mascara. These three, I never skipped. I can skip blush or lip tintsor eyeshadows or even concealers, but I never skip those.

3. These days, I hardly wear lipsticks/lipgloss anymore, only lip tints with lip balm.

4. I'm an exfoliator junkie, I love to exfoliate, even if it starts to irritate my skin due to over-exfoliate, something I need to control =='

5. I don't know how to draw in my eyebrows, only because I don't think I need to, but whenever I think my eyebrow is too pale (because of my setting powders), I usually use my black mascara to intensify it a little and comb my eyebrows to make it neat and stay to where it belongs.

6. I can't justify myself on buying a lot of lipglosses, I only have 3 and believe me, I have a hard time on finishing it up.

7. I seriously want to get married with my love, it sounds weird but I never really could reason out why I couldn't get married now, it's not like I want to start a family yet.

I will nominate:

1. Shin from I Smile, You Smile
2. Francesca from Jars of Thoughts
3. Melli from Casual Beauty
4. Dini from Dini Arisha
5. Shely from Lovestruck
6. Fifi from Pretty Much Makeup
7. Emer from Beauty Moments
8. Anna Ho from Artificially Pretty

Ok, since I'm doing this on 2.15am, I am just too lazy to think about the other seven I need to tag, lol. So check these blogs out, otey? Tey tey tey!

Skincare Review : Tony Moly Facial Masks

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So I'm going to post something that I haven't done, I hardly ever review my masks but I always collect them and show you in a few hauls before. I bought different masks from different brands, most are Koreans brands. So here I am, talking about Tonymoly's Masks.

They have different types of masks, Essential Mask Sheets, Natural Pulp Essence Sheet or Cottony Essence Sheet Masks. I don't have any pictures of their sheets only their packages. So as you can see from pictures above I bought their Essential Mask Sheets, I haven't tried out the Cucumber yet, but the rest I did, so what I can say is that they have different essence (duhh) so one that I dislike so much is the Strawberry, it's too bad cuz I love the smell, it's smells like real strawberries instead of those fake artificial strawberries you smelled from foodies. Why? Because in the end, the essence is so sticky, almost as if you've layered on glucose solution on your face.

However, what I like about these sheets are that they are very cooling and relaxing, the sheets are pretty much normal thin and they spread out to fit my face perfectly. I think my favorite will be the Green Tea. But if I'm not mistaken, I did buy a lot more than these, but I'm not sure, this is one of my stock photos that has been lying around in my laptop.

I only bought one of these because this is the last one in stock! BUT I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS! I would definitely repurchase this! It tightens up my pores,it gives me a smoother texture on my skin and it also lightens up your skin a little! All in One! Also, the mask sheet is thin, allowing more essence to be absorbed into your skin. So Tonymoly, please stock these up so I can have my mask sprees! :D

I've tried all of the Cottony Essence Mask Sheets except for the Wine Essence. I seriously love these too, only drawbacks are that they are a little bit thick and big for my face, but all in all, they only give you those cooling and relaxing effects, but also, it leaves you with a much cleaner and smoother face, given that you've actually washed your face beforehand. My favorite would be the Milk Essence and the Red Ginseng Essence, both have wonderful scents to it without being overpowering!

Repurchase? Yes, I would only repurchase Cottony Essence Mask Sheets and  the Natural Pulp Essence Sheet.

Make-up Review : Essence Soft Touch Mousse Foundation in 01 Matt Sand

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So as I've promised, I will review on to the Essence Soft Touch Mousse Foundation and I got in in 01 Matt Sand, though the color is light, I think it still suits me, though it's a shade lighter than me, but my skin can adapt to it making it almost like it's my natural skintone.

This is my first time of buying a mousse foundation. It has this bouncy and velvety texture. It has a very soft feeling when you touch the mousse, almost like a thin cream..

Somehow, I can relate this to wearing a silicone primer and since it gives a velvety feeling to your skin, it might not be suitable for oily skin. For sensitive skin, please check the tester first before you buy this. Though I can't really vouch for dry skin, but hey, try it out!

It has an artificial smell to it, I can't put down the smell, but at least it's gone once it has been applied. It blends nicely.

I actually realized, while I was actually writing up this post that there is such a thing as skin acidity, so usually what happens is, if you wear foundation, it will oxidize to 2-3 darker shade from your foundation, thus why most of my lighter-shade foundations, actually, eventually oxidizes to match my skintone.

And also, for this it actually gave you a very matte finish, for the price tag given, I was surprised that it kept my nose shine-free for more than 4 hours. Usually, it took my nose to be shiny for at least 2 hours if I use other foundations and BB creams. And I don't even have to set the foundation with powder, but if I were to set my foundation with powder the matte finish lasts even more.

Repurchase? Maybe, it will take me a while for me to finish up foundations. Hehehe.

Product Empties : February 2012

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

So I'm going to do something new, I just realized that I have a lot of empty products for the month of February, so I decided to post it up, may all you invisible readers that think I'm too materialistic will think twice now that you see what I've finished! :D

So here it all of the products that I've finished! How about that? A pat on the head for me!

So this two paletees, I have these for a very long long long time, I think it was back from 2006? So they pretty much expired a long time ago! These are just cheap make-ups that my mother bought for me, somehow, even though they are cheap, but they do have high pigmentation, especially the blushes, though I can't remember how they fare in terms of longevity of the products when applied cuz I don't dare to use these again, for fear of clogged pores.

I think I've raved enough of this primer but never have I reviewed it, but don't worry, I will try to remember about it! I've used up all of this primer, until I've cut the top of the container and try to extract as much of the primer as I can till it dried up!

My make-up remover, something I might repurchase because it's almost like a make-up remover plus cleanser because it won't give you an oily film after washing off your make-up.

My shampoo, yes, with my headcover, I'm bound to have a dandruff problem, so this is my solution! I'd definitely repurchase this but this time, I'd purchase the one with Medicated Menthol!

It's a lipstick from Safi Balqis in 31 Ros Berri, it's a Malay phrase for Rose Berry, it gives me a pink matte finish almost natural, though it is very moisturizing, I would repurchase this IF I'm able to find this again, maybe I'll try Hua Ho or Utama Grand.

Garnier's Overnight Light Whitening Peeling Cream

What can I say about this product is that, the effect is not permanent, it gives you this brighter complexion the next morning, however it fades when night comes, so I think this is actually a dupe for Tonymoly's Tomatox Massage Cream? Because, the results are similar, though I don't have one but from reviews, it's almost similar to this. I think I'll just repurchase because I can't really afford the Tomatox.

It's actually a perfume, I think from Avon or something similar, I've had this for a long time already, so I think I'll open up the bottle and sterilize it and what not, put my favorite Johnson's baby cologne into this bottle. Oh yes baby, I've used a baby cologne as my perfume, it's my inner child calling! LOL :P

That's about it, I guess, see you next time! :D

Skincare Routine : Dry Condition

Assalamualaikum, pretty ladies!

Although this condition is very rare for me, since I have a normal-oily skin, but it does happen every once in a blue moon, so I've come prepared! MUAHAHA. As a reminder, I live in an equatorial climate, so my skincare routine might not be as extensive as when in different climate.

So the products that I'm using is down below.

Firstly, I wash my face with Follow Me's Oil Control with Anti-Shine formula [Review will come!], just to cleanse my face. I try my best to avoid exfoliation at this condition. As it is during the day, I would definitely wear make-up to school, just because I'm already used to wearing it for my self-esteem.  So I would need a good moisturizer to set.

I usually use Hada Labo's Whitening Lotion with Arbutin, some might think lotion would be very heavy for a day skincare routine, but Japanese lotions are basically just toners. It's very light for morning usage. 3 drops from the lotion is enough for the whole face, but since I having a dry week, I took 5 drops.

Else, if I think my Hada Labo lotion is insufficient, I would just use Johnson & Johnson's Baby Lotion, only because it has a very gentle formula and it doesn't feel thick and it's a very good moisturizer. Another reason is that, you don't need to find expensive moisturizing products where you can actually find other products that are readily available at home that works just the same.

So anyways, after all that, I'd start with my make-up so as you've seen from my make-up collection, I have every foundation/BB cream that is catered to every skin situation that I may encounter. So in this case, I would definitely use my Moisture Petit BB Cream from Holika Holika and I have to tell you that this BB Cream is not suitable for oily skin, because it will definitely make you look like you have slathered a big amount of oil onto your face. LOL!

So at night, I usually remove my makeup with the normal makeup remover and then set my face again with Hada Labo's moisturizer and if there's ever any dry patch, I would definitely use the Tonymoly's Healing Balm because it works wonders on your skin!

My Make-up Collection : Foundation and BB Cream

Assalamualaikum,

I was updating and rearranging my make-up storage and here's my collection of BB creams and foundations. I only have 3 foundations and 5 BB Creams, I'm a big fan of BB creams.

I guess I already have enough foundations/BB Creams to last me a long time, so no point of buying more. Unless Brunei miraculously bring out that 17 Miracle Matte Foundation that I've been lemming or if Skin79's Vital Orange BB Cream has miraculously dropped their price up to 50%

This is Privia's BB Cream, I might be getting on a review about this baby because there's many traffic on my blog looking for a review of this. I bought it last year and I still have half to go.

I've acquired this recently as a birthday gifts from my bestfriends, YEAY! A more detailed review will come up.

Sorry about the picture being upside down. Holika Holika has a cheap BB Cream line, the Petit BB. The price is very affordable, just B$12 a pop and you know most BB creams can set you back of at least B$25. These miraculously works as what they claimed to do. In my hands, I have Petit BBs in Watery, Moisture [click links] and  Clearing so I'll be reviewing Clearing BB Cream as soon as I have the chance to wear it out a few days.

Essence foundations, Soft Touch Mousse and Stay All Day 16Hrs foundations, I'm currently loving the mousse foundations but reviews will be given soon!

Last but not least, and of course the almighty Silkygirl's Lightening Liquid Foundation in Tan. Detailed reviews coming up soon! :D
