Make-up Review: Catrice Pure Shine Colour Lip Balm in 040 Cherry Berry

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I'm back with another review, I actually bought this recently, it is basically a product that lines up with Clinique Chubby Sticks, Revlon Kissable Balms and such. What matters the most is, since it is Catrice, it is much cheaper than Clinique and Revlon, I bought it around $7.20, of course after members' discount.

After trying out the lip balm, I fell in love! I mean I used this every chance I can get and it's already blunt and in need of a retraction soon! I got the color Cherry Berry since it is a neutral berry color and although I realized I have a Silkygirl Gloss lipstick shade similar to this, I just can't stop myself from buying this.

I find that this color is pretty much an MLBB shade for me, it's a shade darker than my lip color, so this is very suitable for everyday use or days when you are not feeling playful with your makeup. It gives a nice sheen to your lip and it really is moisturizing. You can pack on this color if you want an opaque sheen but I like to keep it sheer. Also, what I love about this product is that it smells like a root beer float! It is quite refreshing than the normal candy or vanilla-scented products.

Although I do love the product itself, I don't think I should collect the colors and such, because I do have too much lip products anyways (D'oh, that's what you'll face when you become a beauty blogger). If I do finish this product, I'd definitely repurchase in a different color.

Make-up Review: The Faceshop Lovely Me:Ex Eyebrow Crayon in Dark Brown

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Another review for you guys, I'm currently obsessed looking for "The Eyebrow Crayon" because I've finally realized how important it is to frame your face by filling in your eyebrows, I mean I do sometimes skip my eyebrow makeup routine back then but ever since I really explored my eyebrow makeup, I realized how much difference it makes on my overall face makeup.

That would remind me that I should update my everyday makeup routine as I am getting more and more lazy to wear extensive makeup everyday so anyways, here's the review!

I really love this eyebrow crayon that I actually bought a back-up of this and I have finished this crayon, this lasts me for about 3-4 months of almost everyday use. I don't use this if I stay at home. Anyways, it has a spoolie brush attached which is very convenient for travel and I do brought this crayon to Singapore with me.

It gives a fantastic precision to draw in and fill in your eyebrows since it is triangular in shape, so there's the thin part and the thick part of the crayon, I use the thin part to outline my eyebrows and the thick part to fill in, it made my life so much easier. The texture itself is creamy enough to go through my thick eyebrows (they are pretty thick as I don't trim them), it is quite pigmented but it goes on and does't look stark on my eyebrows which is a good thing.

This crayon has a lasting longevity, I can go from 8AM to 10PM and it is still there, so that's about 12 hours of use before it starts to fade. A repurchase, I just did! It's affordable at $8.90, if you're a member, there'll be a 10% discount. At first, I thought this will be my HG eyebrow crayon but I found another one that is much cheaper and much better! Which I will post the review soon! But nevertheless, I still love this product and use this most of the time.

Random Ranting: How can a hashtag change law?

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

Just a quick short post, I don't like to be all political on my beauty blog, but I'm just very disappointed on the Western people that has stirred up #StopTheSultan rally just because Brunei has implemented Sharia Law. I won't get all political, again, but I just like to inform you guys, I'm a Bruneian, a Muslim, the law itself is perfect but don't judge it just because of what you saw in other Muslims. Remember, Muslims are not perfect, Islam is.

Do research about Brunei and Sharia Law before you go against it, also, on another note, you should check out what is currently happening in Syria before you want to declare that you're joining the #StopTheSultan rally which most people who are not properly educated about the Sharia Law and Islam would say "violates human rights".

Beauty Bought: When I was in Singapore

Assalamualaikum pretty ladies!

I'm back from Singapore! Well, I'm a month late of posting this blog post. I didn't get to take a lot pictures as I am either overwhelmed or either way too cramped to take pictures. It's a little early to tell you girls this but I'm officially a CEO for this company I am eager to built and develop, Zestberry Technologies!

So that's the reason why I'm being sent to Singapore for an exposure trip to see how the industry is all about! Also, joining the Innovfest Forum, d'oh. Here's a few pictures that I did get to take pictures and the ones that I'm willing to show it here.

On Day 1 was awesome, I did have a little mishap of pulled muscles, blisters and feet cramps, but I didn't care, I want to do more of exploring so we did go to Orchard Road spending time there, I did bought a beg-purse kind of thing for the dinner held on Tuesday.

At night, we went to Orchard Xchange and had our dinner at Popeye's, I tell you, the chicken is good! I wish I did take more pictures but I found my phone to be too bulky to whip it up, so none :( We also went to Mustapha Center in Little India around 11pm, I went there just to get some socks, bandage support and a hair comb. A few necessities that I need during my trip, not my idea of shopping! LOL. And I found that Little India is not so hygienic because I was dying to go to the toilet in the center, I found a big lump of poop of the size of a large plate on one of the toilet stalls! EW! That was enough to make me puke.

When we wanted to go back to our hotel, it was already late, around 12.30AM, so taxis are hard to come by and we wanted to take a taxi that would take the 7 of us, so of course we're looking for a big taxi. Then our friend, who is of Indian descent was approached by an Indian driver, I didn't hear any gist of it because I was a little bit far away from him. Then our friend decided to follow the driver to his van and so the rest of us just went along on his trail. It was kinda scary because we went to 2 dark alleys and I said to my friend who is, say, the one that supervises the organization that incubates our company, "you better protect me if something bad is happening"

He was, later I found out, a gypsy taxi driver so finally after walking for a couple of blocks, we found a line of parked vans, this was scary, although it wasn't so dark, we didn't know what we're getting into. I was afraid that gang members would show themselves up from the parked vans! But Alhamdulillah, we were safe, although the van that the gypsy driver has is a little funky. Stickers all over the interior, zebra and tiger prints on our seats, mini fans as air-conditioning, a freakin' disco ball in front.

It was risky but it does somehow raised the bar for going to Singapore, I'm not sure I'll experience something like that again if I ever go to Singapore again. LOL!

On Day 2, however, the day was tamer then what we had on our first day since it's the day that the Innovfest forum starts, I had a wonderful time there and there was a lot of genius ideas and takeaways that I received! We did have a celebration dinner for the forum as well, there was some inspiring speeches as well, the dinner was kinda funny because it was my first time of seeing someone so tipsy.

After leaving the dinner around 9pm, we went out and walked to Clarkes Quay which is very near to our hotel. I loved the place as it has a vibrant environment and some quirky lighting, we also went to a bar because our friends who are non-Muslims wanted to get a few shots before moving on to other parts of the place, it was kinda awkward for me as I was wearing a hijab and I actually stepped into a bar. I was going to order a fruit punch because it was put in a non-alcoholic menu, but a friend warned me that it might pack a few "punches". So I just ordered a can of Sprite just to make sure it's not tainted with alcohol.

I watched my friends taking tequila shots and I was intrigued by what I saw, I did smell the scent of the tequila shots, I found them to smell so icky, although I don't have any problems of people drinking it, I do wonder WHY they drink something that smells so icky. Haha.

Day 3 was also tame and tamer than Day 2 since I asked my friends that they should accompany me to Plaza Singapura as I did to them when we go to Orchard Road and didn't even buy a single thing there that would satisfy my shopping desires, LOL! I didn't shop for myself though, I only shopped for my mom's wishlist because she wanted to buy the hard candies from Lollytalk. The shop assistant was flabbergasted by how much I bought and gave me way too much freebies.

On our last day, we went to Ayer Rajah for a work visit to the incubation centre there. I met with Sze Ming from Gamurai, I had a little crush on him just because he was very sweet and very tall! LOL, we did went to incubation studio for Games Solution Center and also Playstation Studio, which was such a privilege, though we didn't get to go inside Playstation Studio because it was a top secret kinda place.

So, I guess all the things I bought in Singapore was either necessities or food, but the one that I bought for myself and such a non-necessity was this makeup brush travel set from Ecotools! I love the brushes, so smooth and fluffy.

I guess I rambled on more than I planned to, so hoped you like my post! Again, I apologize for the lack of pictures despite the awesome experience I had. Oh and btw, I have a dayre account, you can check out my username imahaziz91. I do find it neater and more convenient to blog there instead of searching for time to blog here.
